Do you want overbuffing?

It's good to make your opinions known to riot. But without even trying the new changes for the juggernauts in a live environment with the new items, why act like you have an informed opinion? I have my own opinions on how these changes will affect the state of the game or the champions, but I'm trying not to jump to any conclusions/jump on any bandwagons. People thought Zed was trash on release, and then boom he wasn't. Asking for meta changes without allowing time for previous changes just allows adaptability to find ideal builds and playstyles for champions to surface too late... and then you get things like the current state of Elise. Let's all just take a deep breath and be willing to try new things - because a lot of the parts of the champs' kits that were changed were the unhealthy ones.

No.

Riot do not have the right to expect me to give them the benefit of the doubt any more. They fucked up the Veigar rework, they fucked up the Zilean rework, and they gave no shits about either of them. And you'd have to be some kind of imbecile not to see how bad some of these reworks are- the Garen changes, for example, are just straight nerfs.

Riot's reasoning in this case is just plain dumb. They say to themselves "we want people to play Garen as an AD champ rather than building tank" so when it comes to working out how to do it they settle on "make him do no damage any more unless he builds heavy AD". And then they heavily nerf his tanking ability as well so you have "even more reason" to build him as an AD. They say to themselves "we want people to run Mordekaiser in botlane with a support" so when it comes to working out how to do it they settle on "make him completely inviable as a solo laner so he literally HAS to have a support". And they don't actually bother making him any GOOD in a duo lane, they just flat-out nerf him across the board. I'm not even going to go into Skarner; their thinking there is just outright retarded.

When you order a big steak dinner at an expensive restaurant and the steak comes out garnished with a steaming great shit on top of it, you don't try it first before sending it back. And you sure as hell don't pay for it!

id actually like if you could build garen more heavy into damage. bringing the flat w bonus back is what i always wanted. and now that they removed the cap per rank, its finally back in full glory. it still gives him pretty much the same bonus as his live kit if he builds really tanky. but also if he builds less tanky. and thats the important part. he doesnt have at least 2 item slots locked up for heavy resistance items since he needs to get that w bonus up. he can now build straight health, damage, or still a randuins if he wants to.

it increases his build diversity.

there were multiple problems with the self slow that go beyond just how it makes any damage increase irrelevant, when he cant reach any target to apply his op damage. not to mention keeping them in rnage with the silence cut in half and the tenacity removed. or how incredibly frustrating it feels to be pusnished by your own kit for doing what it wants you to do.

luckily they removed it for a mechnaic that makes more sense.

in effect, he will now deal less damage to multiple targets (still about the same, if not more as the live values) and significantly more against a single target. i like this change much more, because in effect instead of punishing him for doing his job, hes wasting less of his potential for duelling a single champion over spinning into an entire team.

but the damage decrease is in a place where he still deals overall more damage if he spins on more than one target. so whatever you chose to do. try to apply as much damage to multiple champions as possible, or fighting a single champion, you dont feel like youre wasting any of your potential and your kit adjusts to help you in both cases.

it just feels better to use this e gives you choices instead of gimping itself. it still retains counterplay for the enemy team, as a tank might decide to soak some of the spin damage to lower it against the target garen wants to kill. while at the same time its a game of positioning for garen to spin into a spot where that doesnt happen.

vast improvement.

there is one thing to add. garens increased ad scaling doesnt mean he needs to build less tanky (though the w now allows him to if he wants to). but they also introduce a lot more items that increase ad and health at the same time. so overall what this means is he gains more damage while he builds tanky with these new items.

the slow had to go. and with the removal of the restriction to his w passive + increase to .3 resistance per minion it looks a lot better overall.
