I know that's most likely never going to happen but I want to talk about a real toxic problem with this feature. In low ELO surrender makes and promotes bad league players and bad sportsmanship. The generation of kids that are playing now and especially the new ones coming in are used to instant gratification and the " Everyone's a Winner " mentality that NA is teaching them... You get last place in your T-Ball and pee we Baseball league everyone gets a trophy and party. You lose every single game in your soccer league never scoring a single goal but everyone will get a nice big medal. We are teaching kids that winning is not important is about having fun and everyone is a winner... All cartoons promote it now days and most public schools. Parents have become coddling sap bags willing to do anything it takes to make sure little Bobby is happy and Susie doesn't cry.

TL:DR --- Ranked in Gold, Silver, Bronze for the most part doesn't benefit from the surrender feature currently in the game. Soon as 1 person gets a tripple or quadra kill they are spamming the surrender button @20... Most of the time if you don't surrender and recruit 1 other to tow the line with you someone will afk or just quit. This happens in A LOT of games! Surrendering @20 if the team is the one behind even by a few kills and a tower or 2 its FF!!! .... I can't take it anymore its horrible. If you play late game champs and late game builds that haven't even had a chance to be used yet these players don't care they are unhappy and want out of the game asap to get another one that they hope is a bloody stomp that they will not surrender.

Suggestions: #1 Remove Surrender from all ranked ques ( its ranked your expected to compete ) unless you have had a player AFK/non moving for more than 5, 6, 7 min?

#2 Only remove Surrender from the bottom 3 ques as these are the ones most affected by this. It would teach people that you can win any game at that level of play because most players are newer or less strategically savvy so massive throws are real every game. They would lean to have a positive out look and believe they can win.

#3 Develop a new system to stopping the game other than surrender. This could be a concede match option that only unlocks once your team is down by a set number of objectives/ gold/ kills? Could be interesting and add value.

Final though - Everyone would like to see something added to the game to deal with " trolls " ... not bad players or people that have a bad game I'm talking wanna watch the world burn type of real troll. This could be a game wide vote maybe? 7 of the 10 agree to DRAW the game ? or other ideas could be used here. I have so much more I could share but no one would read it if it was a novel but I could make it one easy. Please comment and try not to be rude I am just trying to improve the games and make a better place for us all .

If you remove surrender people will just afk/ flame all the time lel

Removing surrender will never work.

It's not fun to be held hostage by the enemy team. I've been in those games where the enemy is fed as hell and all our inhibitors are down, but they just refuse to push. Instead they leave us to turtle for half an hour, killing nothing but super minions and unable to leave our base. People also tend to beg 'end please' yet continue halting the enemy's efforts to push.

A 'concede button' that unlocks after objectives are taken is no different from having to wait for twenty minutes.

There are also games where your team has done nothing but argue and it's not pleasant to be with these people. Even if you mute them, there are still possibly four people that won't stop arguing and aren't focusing on the game.

Yes, I would agree that you should play past the eight minute quadruple kill, that you can always have a chance of winning. But there are instances where the victory just isn't worth what you have to go through, and that's for majority vote to decide.

There are just games that are unwinnable. If you pick Nunu jungle, Olaf top, Ziggs mid, Caitlyn ADC and Zyra support, and the enemy has a Katarina, Master Yi or Kayle, you concede. Some champions require coordinated CC, high burst, or other special tactics to deal with them, and if your team lacks those tactic you lose. And this can happen in ranked, no reason the enemy team can't lock in a hyper carry last pick after you already chose your team comp.

Surrendering is important. If someone has a RL emergency and needs to leave, or they rage quit and just aren't coming back, the team should be able to concede immediately. Waiting and wasting time playing a game you can't win is how tilting happens.

Sometimes you CAN'T win the game. No matter what. No need to hope that somebody of enemy team will be dc'd. It's stupid. Thats why surrender still here.

Yeah sorry but "We're promoting winning not being important" does not lead to "People will quit the second they don't win". If the "everyone's a winner" mindset is really having such a big impact then people should be MORE happy to play even when they're losing, not less.

Yea sometimes there is really non sense to surrender for only a little lead for enemy team as low elo players think oh dat vayne is 3-0 so fed ff20 but you can still come back later on. Especially rank games ppl can't surrender easily not til the last minute unless it's pretty clear no hope u gonna win like noother tower take down and enemy got 3 inhib and baron buff. I really hate ppl surrender so early bu sometimes u just need to admit u are not gd enough and it is clearly gonna lose. Being stubborn will waste ur time but being the ff20 for a vayne gots a trible in a small fight is much more idiotic unless they were all fed and got a large lead
