passive = magic,
Wrong, it's physical.
ult = true.
100/200/300 + 20% per stack of passive. Almost always less than
ult if cho builds literally any AP.
Not to mention Darius gets built in armor penetration, up to 25%! This makes for no counter-building.
Build health? If your armor isn't efficient, then build health to counter his true damage. You can negate a rank 1 Darius ult at max stacks with 1 & a half ruby crystals.
Due to passive stacking in to ult, a full build Darius can do anywhere from 750 to 1400 true damage, making most marksmans/supports/mages die in just one exchange.
1400 is possible, but really hard to accomplish. 300 × 2 = 600 base damage then factor in his AD, highest I've ever hit is about 1100. True he can kill an ADC pretty easily, but he shouldn't be that close if your team has any sense.
This also refreshes so he can do the combo all over again.
If you're team isn't basically giving you resets, it gets pretty annoying to try and get a reset in full team fights. Half the time, the ADC or mid bursts any target you've got low enough to actually dunk. Wish I could count how many kills I've lost mid-R animation...
Yes it is true, Darius has no gap closers or escapes, but why would you want to escape when you can 3 shot almost anyone in the game? You can also focus him, but this takes much needed focus away from more key assets, like marksmains/mages.
That applies for almost any diving threat though. If Darius is a big threat late game, why does his win rate plummet after 25ish minutes? Darius's purpose late game isn't anything more than being a tank who has potential to kill carries, assuming he can proc passive.
All in all, darius really needs nerfed or rework to fit more into the balance that is League of Legends.
I think the only thing Darius needs is to be tweaked early, not nerfed. Yes, he's a bully early, but he's garbo late game and you're better off with literally any other champion on your team. I wouldn't mind if they make his lane weaker for the sake of making him not so bad late game, but that just takes away a lot of his identity.
