Massive hitboxes, insane sustain, insane damage. If you don't pick a deliberate counter ( i.e. you lock top first), the lane is almost unplayable. And before all these people come rushing to her rescue with the "oh play quinn with ignite easy lane easy game" BS, Khan just played illaoi in pro play and they literally had to leave him alone the entire game because they cant fight an illaoi with 4 other people on her team. It is getting out of hand and she needs to be brought down a tier for sure.

dodging tentacles isn't the problem though they are easy to dodge, being hit by just one chunks too much hp, illaoi is a bruiser and tank in one, she needs either her def lowered or her damage, her ult can even bring her back to 100% health, i've seen it happen [sg-ahri-1] all you have to do as illaoi is spawn tentacles and wait untill someone gets near them to press W, when they are at least 50% hp just activate ult and they are dead. another possibility is that riot removes controlling the tentacles on her W, which would make her a bit more fair to play against, making the tentacles have a life of their own instead, similar to zyra her flowers.

Illaoi is a very mechanically intensive champion and had a high skill ceiling. She sadly has too much counterplay to be a viable pick.

She definitely isn't mechanically intensive. She's given extreme survivability and damage without requiring her to counterplay. Unless you play a deliberate counter, you're standing at a disadvantage.

Ok so if you read my original statement you would've seen I said before everyone jumps on the "play Quinn" train that illaoi is way too much to deal with if you don't get to counter pick. All I'm saying is she needs to be brought down a tier, you shouldn't have to deliberately counter pick to win lane/game against a champion. You should be able to expand your champion pool without being severely punished because illaoi is given every resource in the game to cruise through lane. Literally something like increased time on passive so the fking tentacles aren't spawning every half second or reduced damage from her passive tentacles. Increased cooldown on her spirit pull, and a smaller hit box on all abilities. She would still be a viable pick but without absolute bullshit abilities

Any ranged champion does, she loses hardcore to ranged, but in turn gets to dumpster melees in most circumstances.

She is broken. Rumble is pretty weak right now, and his downfall is if you spam abilities you're silenced for 6 seconds. Renekton needs his fury bar for empowered abilities and he loses fury if he's not attacking. GP got nerfed to shit in one of the recent patches and you can outsustain him because his parry costs so much mana now. They all have their generalized weak spots. Illaoi does not, and she needs to be nerfed.

Yeah, and here generalized weak spot is that she is utterly reliant on skillshots to do most of her damage, and if she wants to actually hurt you or the team, she has to walk into five people, not dash, not leap, not jump, no, walk into five people. Her generalized weak spot is ranged, it shits on her, why would you nerf it simply because she does well against melee, nor have you said a reason, a REAL reason, she needs nerfs besides just because at this point. Her win rate is literally 50% right now, seems to me she is in a pretty good place.

I won around only 3 of my placements and still go placed in plat 3 for the beginning of the season 8. I don't know why your getting so offended. If you are in bronze no balance changing is the reason you are in bronze. Illaoi isn't broken at all and I bet you numerous high elo players would agree with this.
