Ziggs has the best kit in the game

So I just picked up Ziggs recently. My first game I went like 10/2 and carried. Besides the fact that he's the coolest character in the game as a hamster with a bag full of explosives, here's why I think he has the best kit in the game, and absolutely the best mid laner to play now. He really doesn't get countered either because of his long range poke. You can play him against anyone, however Syndra and Ahri I do see have an edge in the early game on him.

Extremely long range poke(can farm with it too) Interrupt/small stun(with satchel charge) Turret Buster(with satchel charge) An escape(with good placement of satchel charge) Wall jumping(with satchel charge) AOE slow with great damage A near global AOE ultimate with massive damage

The only downside to him is if you fall behind, you won't be very useful. Your effectiveness relies a lot on your damage not so much your utility. But if you play it smart you shouldn't be able to fall behind unless they have a jungler that camps you the entire game(Like I had with an annoying Zac last night)

I don't know any other champion that has all these attributes AND where the majority of their spells is AOE. Can anyone enlighten me?

Oh and another thing. The CD on his poke is literally a second or two once you get the Morellonomicon.

His Satchel Charge is great at finishing turrets off but don't forget his passive too! If you have like 400AP + Lich Bane, you can destroy towers your passive in under 3 seconds.

That's very true. I haven't even tried Lich Bane on him. I'll have to do that next time!

I personally prefer Xerath over Ziggs.

  • "Infinite" mana with Xerath's passive, so you can skip a mana item all together, getting other useful passives sooner (item 3285 item 3116 )
  • Long range poke that's significantly faster (and easier to land) than Zigg's poke
  • Actual stun that won't make targets dodge other skillshots (either your own or allies)
  • AoE Slow that doesn't require as much setup
  • Even longer ultimate that doesn't take longer to fire at max range

You don't have the tower taking potential, but in my experience that's mostly an early game gimmick anyway, since after you group with your ADC they're going to chunk towers faster than you can passive/satchel charge them down. Satchel charge's arm time also makes it a little bit fickle as an escape (although I'll be the first to admit it feels great when you can use it that way).

I recall one time I was playing Ziggs and I threw a satchel charge out ahead of me to make my escape. Right as I pathed to where I wanted to go and it was about to detonate it, the enemy Draven used Stand Aside and pushed me to the wrong end of my satchel charge. While I was stunned by Stand Aside the satchel charge went off, throwing me back into the enemy team.

you destroy turrets and have great long range waveclear to protect your own C:

I really like ziggs too, he's one of the best mages to kite. Cassiopeia is pretty good at it, but she doesn't have anywhere near the burst and range as ziggs.

Half of that list includes satchel charge. You use that, or if someone rides it with you/gets on the other side of it, you cant do too much. Assassin could just kill you Katarina
