I find it funny how I find URF more balanced than the current iteration of vanilla SR
I guess that's how wonky the balance is. Instead of the handful of broken ass champions that will never get nerfed it's now everyone on the same playing field lol

There's still a handful of broken ass champs that never get nerfed in URF, except instead of seeing one or two of them, you see entire teams of the same shit CONSTANTLY. You're probably too young, or too enamored with URF to remember it clearly the last time it ran without all random, but that shit was insufferable. You had Rivens, Evelynns, Garens, Urgots, Zeds, Karthuses, and Sonas in every fucking game. If you wanted to goof around and play whatever, well, URF wasn't the game mode for you, because some sweaty-palmed tryhard was gunning to kick your ass with Riven for the 900th time that day. You had to either play from a specific line up, or you were going to lose. The only thing that really shut down a Riven from fucking pasting your skull into your own fountain was Fiddlesticks.
So no, you're completely wrong. URF has always been a clusterfuck that people play for like 3 days, and then it evolves a meta so quickly that no one wants to play it anymore.
i dont know about that. from when i was playing in the pbe that urf elder dragon was pretty broken.
Just wait til you see Full Lifesteal Fiora in URF. Then we can talk about balanced.
