tips wanted to become a better support!

I've been playing LoL for 3 plus years, only in S5 atm, i've been bouncing back and forth between ADC and Support and realized i like being a support due to the fact i'm usually always with the team but feel like something is missing, Any help would be appreciated! thanks guys!

apply pressure and know when to back off i dont know how many times a support plays supper passive just because the adc is farming. Think about it blitz,leona,nami,naut,thresh all walk up to their enemy and force them to walk back so they miss cs and xp.

Haven't looked your previous games to see what you specifically can improve on but general goals for supports

#All Supports

Buy SightStone
Use it
Prioritize having a pink up at all times over potions
including small items (regen pendents, etc)
in fights if you see your adc is being zoned out by someone refocus on who ever is zoning them.

#Tanks

in lane you should be even or infront of your carry at all times
If the adc is getting hit by skill shots during trades body blocking those will be better than your autos
assuming you aren't the only engage save your cc to peel for your carries

#Healers

Don't hang back too far, stay about even in lane with your adc
if you have poke don't be afraid to use it
1 condition, don't over extend just for poke, I know it's tempting especially while ahead but dont do it

#Mages

try not to hit minions too much with your abilities
you are the most effective when the lane isn't pushed
bonus points if the enemy minions are pushed and you can keep them zoned from experience
It is fine to get kills but don't take them unless you have reason to think the person will get away.

Adc is too difficult to climb with unless you're really good or you have a good/reliable support to duo with.

Generally I'd say have more wards on the map than your opponent. That means placing yours and clearing theirs. You want to choke them of vision and make the map safe for your team. Wards win games. Vision = Knowledge = Power. Deny the enemy power and increase your power.

item 2045 item 3364 item 2043 is your core and item 3117 helps get your job done.
