Ahri changes

So is returning Ahri's ultimate back to release a possibility? Right now her ultimate feels really sharp, she's suppose to be elegant isn't she?

Furthermore why is Q getting the movement speed buff? That's making her more of a stop-go champ. If Ahri's W gave her movement speed instead would that be too strong? It would certainly make her movements feel much more graceful.

The Q change makes her more safe but compensating for DFG removal isn't supposed to give her more utility, it should be to giver her more damage. There's really no point in landing charm anymore since they removed the 20% increased damage. It's a mess item 3070 Ahri item 3070

If you played release Ahri, she never really needed the 20% increase damage to do damage. Q changes does make her safe. Too safe. The movement buff would benefit her kiting away from an enemy, however Ahri will be running in a circle a lot of the time in lane. If you miss q as your poke , you're not going to move forward hence running in a circle.

Back then, Ahri didn't need the 20% damage because she had MUCH higher base damage and scaling. These were lowered to give her the unique Charm effect and make her more interesting and rewarding to play. Now Riot is backpedaling on their own changes, completely flipping on their own design philosophies. Meanwhile, the main issue is that Riot lied to our faces. They promised compensation for removing DFG, but refuse to actually follow up on their own words, or show even the slightest bit of consistency on either past or present matters.

If it were just these changes alone, there would be SIGNIFICANTLY less complaints from the players. However, we were also promised something IN ADDITION and Riot is refusing to let us have it. They lied to our faces.

Summary: Charm has had its mana cost changed to a flat amount at all levels but now increases the magic damage Ahri deals to a Charmed target. Essence Theft now heals her for a specific amount based on the number of enemies she hits with her passive-enhanced spell, as opposed to getting straight spell vamp. Fox Fire now deals less damage when multiple wisps hit the same target. Spirit Rush's base damage and AP ratios have been slightly reduced.

Context: Ahri is a champion with a lot of strengths and few weaknesses, given her high versatility and reliability, so she can consistently apply a lot of pressure on her opponents from relative safety. Ahri’s strengths should be better defined than they currently are. These changes give Ahri players (and her opponents) clear areas of mastery that differentiate the good Ahris from the great Ahris. Our core focuses are:

Make Ahri’s default lane patterns more clear, so both Ahri and her opponents can make plays around them
Make Ahri’s “all-in” gameplay more closely tied with landing Charm to establish Charm as Ahri’s “kiss of death” that needs to be avoided, as well as lower her threat/presence while Charm is on cooldown
Keep Ahri’s core gameplay intact while trimming away strength from the low-gameplay patterns that don’t feel rewarding

I'd like it on W more myself, but I assume they didn't put it on W just because it would probably be a little TOO useful

Personally, I actually build Furor enchantments knowing everything short of Orb gives me more movement speed.

I agree that it would be much more useful and add far more gameplay on W, throw out Q and then use W for the repositioning. It would give her spells more interaction with each other and be more interesting to use.

My main issue is that Riot promised COMPENSATION for removing DFG and are blatantly not giving us what they themselves JUST promised. That's like promising a kid a piece of candy and then eating it in front of them the moment you finish speaking. I'm tired of Riot lying to our faces, I've dealt with enough of that in the past 6 months since they killed Sona, I don't want to have to deal with even more of their lies when it comes to Ahri now too.

Riot's current public relations motto is, "Lie to the players, they don't matter anyways. Hell, go ahead and even mock them if you feel like it."

The Q is getting the speed booster to help her reposition for the return and because they don't want to give it more damage.

I don't think Ahri needs that much more help in re positioning herself. Why not have speed buff in W?

Too unreliable since it fires off as soon as an enemy comes near.

Like Evelyn's speed of burst but weaker and to give her more "plays"

yea I agree, the buffs were not necessary...

but she also gets a 20% amp decrease from her EWQ combo

If they want to compensate her in a way that doesn't increase her damage, they should make her w and ult correctly hit people who walk into bushes... or maybe let her q give vision. I never understood why throwing an orb of light into a bush didn't give vision, same for floating balls of fire.
