Potential Solution/Aid to Massive Snowballing

This idea popped into my head the other day as a potential solution to help with excessive snowballing.

The idea is that each time you die, you permanently gain a small amount of armor & magic resistance. I don't know what feasible numbers would be... 5... 2... that's up for debate (if people even agree with my idea). This would both make it harder for somebody to snowball in their lane without going out of their way for ganks, and make the game less frustrating for people not doing too well. If that seems like too much, then maybe it could only apply if you're killed twice in a row - something to that extent.

Why dent into the snowball effect? There's a great article here about what makes the MOBA community often so toxic: https://stevesgamedesignblog.wordpress.com/2017/01/15/why-are-mobas-so-toxic/ The tl;dr version - snowballing is. Imagine if in hockey, a 5v5 sport, every time someone scored, the opposite team lost a player. It would be incredibly more difficult for the losing team to come back. Now, I'm not saying that there shouldn't be any reward for kills of course, but just that there needs to be the right balance.

When you die in your lane a couple of times, your opponent has more gold than you, and thus better items, has more experience than you, so they're doing even more damage at that point - it quickly becomes very difficult to come back from.

i definitely share the sentiment behind reducing snowballing. i really never liked snowballing as a mechanic, whether or not i'm the one snowballing or not.
