Home Screen shows Ping

What I really want is to be able to see what my ping/latency will look like in game before queuing up. Sometimes my internet is just super fidgety and some days it's incredibly laggy. This is because I live on a campus of about 16,000 College students. Since this is an ongoing problem with thousands of players, the best solution would be to have a chance to test what your ping will look like in game from the home screen upon logging in.

But the game does show you your ping. Unless you are referring to something else, I don't really understand your question.

This. Also I'd like it if you could customize video options outside of a match. I sometimes use a crappy computer to play and it keeps my setting so I tend to go into a match with everything on high and lag my ass of 'till I can change it.

Guys, up this thread. I really wanna make sure riot actually does something that we ask for. please make this thread noticed. this is an extremely viable tool. hundreds of thousands of rage quits/afks/and feeders can be prevented with this tool

go to the windows tab on your comp go to run and then paste "ping 216.52.241.254 -t" this into it without the quotes and it will pop up showing you what your ping is on the north american serves

Even better, the ping of all players on the team comp screen. I don't want to play a game if my connections is not good, and I most certainly don't want to play with people that are having Internet issues.

So lets say that one member is having a ping spike or whatever, the team could vote on a resign before the game even start. No LP lose, no harm done, lets move on to the next game.

I'd rather riot fix the servers so that they don't randomly disconnect you for a quarter second of disconnection and on that same note are immune to drop hacks and don't fail on their own

a server should be able to differentiate between normal ping requests such as a person spamming a button 10x a second or unnatural 200x a second, etc
