Pre-30

I've noticed over the past few days as I watched someone I know try to learn and play League, that roughly 80% of the players they were against, were smurfs with none on their team. I understand people want to make their own separate accounts to level and have fun on but, this also discourages a lot of new players as well I feel. Share your opinions, I would be happy to hear them. I don't see anything wrong with smurfs being made but, these players could be placed into a different form of match making than the newer players until they at least hit level 30. I don't know HOW it would be done, I just feel like it could be a possibility. I also understand that you can't win EVERY game, and some people just have bad games. This is completely different than what I have witnessed though over the past few days of watching someone try and get into League. inb4 git gud & butthurt.

Smurfs are toxic but some part of the community is always going to find it amusing to dumpster new players instead of playing for the 50% winrate at the elo which they really belong at on mains

Mostly I feel like all accounts could be created with the same MMR, and judging off of their scores, if they're consistently high, they will be placed in a different "zone" of matchmaking than the actual new players who are struggling to learn the game still. It's a way to still give players the option to have smurfs, while letting the new players get an equal chance to learn and have fun with the game as well.
