Why do i currently have 76 Hextech loot boxes to open.......

The loot system was a really nice idea that gives players the ability to get skins for free. However, it really feels like a way to entice people to spend 110 RP on keys to open these crates. I currently have 76 boxes on my accounts that i cant open and wont ever be able to open them all up unless I spend money to do so. I just wish that getting Keys was easier or if i didn't have to combine 3 keys to make a key that actually works....

sucks to be you xd if you want certain skins go ahead and buy them hextech crafting is a nice feature that allows people that dont want to spend money on this game to buy skins ofc they cant make it so that every1 gets keys everyday its just luck i mean they need to earn something too if you wanna open your chests so badly, buy some keys thats just how it works you cant expect them to give you stuff for free 24/7

id rather actually be GOOD at champs than be a jack of all trade and suck at everything.

which is why all the champs i play ranked have lvl 6 or 7 mastery

or you know riot could fix BOTH issues by allowing us to trade 1 complete key for 1 chest... and vice versa..

Hextech was released around April last year, maybe March. So lets just say it has been a year, possibly less. There are about 52 weeks in a year, and we get 1 chest a week, starting off with 4. I believe that they also refreshed your boxes at the beginning of this season, so that is an additional 4. That equals roughly 60 available boxes without buying them, so unless you spent a couple thousand RP just to make your point (which would kind of make it invalid), the number 72 feels a little bogus.

In the post, the dude said, 76 boxes on his accounts. The plurality is important there, I think. Maybe he should've used "across", instead of "on".

i have 9 keys and over 40 fragments, i don't bother forging them anymore because my champion base is so small and getting a ryze shard after finally earning an S on jinx (im a trash adc) just pisses me off. you know what's in those 76 boxes? nothing, a bunch of trash 525rp skins for champs you don't like, that you can re-roll into trash 750rp skins for champs you don't like.

out of the 40 or so boxes i've opened, i've actually used what i got once in game, i got a taliyah shard and i actually like taliyah, but i usuall just use the blue essence for ranking up to 7 on the champs i do like to play.

Yea, chests tend to be scarce when you only play a couple of champs. It's a pain in the ass

I main support. I can simulate the experience of getting an S by rolling a D100. S awarded on 1, 50, and 100 if your team wins. Only on 50 if your team loses.

I'm fairly convinced game stats have nothing to do with it at this point. :/

Yeah, maybe it's too hard to get keys, but remember we're still getting free skins, just for playing. And I got spirit guard udyr from 3 rerolls, I can't talk shit about the crafting ever again. xD

Play 3v3 normals with a champion you don't have the box with. There are so many bots, you'll just get s ranks left and right.

You have to have really low MMR for that. When I play Twisted Treeline, I get human players. I only saw bots when I was leveling up.

I think the system is nice. I've gotten a good amount of skins for free like Sandstorm Ekko, Forecast Janna, and Marauder Warwick.

Yeah, same here, the reroll is a huge gamble though.

I've got Corsair Quinn (awesome) and Debonair Vi (decent) off it, but once got a Black Belt Udyr and am sitting on a Commando Xin rn.

I'm not sure if rerolling my Royal Command Kata was a good idea, I mean I already have Sandstorm so I didn't really need another skin for a champion I barely play and suck at.

You think they introduced Hextech as a way to give back to the playerbase? Hell no. It's something to get you to spend more money -- that's why loot boxes are so popular in F2P games, especially in Asia (which is what Tencent is).

I usually sit in excess of keys.

But all I ever fucking roll are Renekton champion shards and the ugly palette-swap legacy skins.

Oh, and ward skins, because I care about what my fucking invisible doodad looks like.

Still, 76. I play ARAM and end up with a boatload of keys, so maybe that works better?

just remember: if you earned less than 4 keys in a month, those extra fragment drops are lost forever.

You can earn keys for free regularly just for playing and winning games. What sucks is when you have 20 keys because you can only earn S ranks on a handful of champions and you have to wait until next season to earn more chests, by which time you will have earned 20 more keys.

You only get about a chest per week. So that's 4 per month. That means 76 chests would be 19 months. Hextech Crafting came out last May I believe. The system hasn't been out long enough for you to get that many chests without buying them, and if you're buying chests and not keys (with your overabundance of chests) that's all on you. Furthermore, the odds of you having 76 chests and no key fragments are considerable. With that kind of luck, you could win the lottery. I'm calling BS on this.
