I would really love to see the emperor reclaim the throne as one of the top mid laners. After all of the nerfs he's outclassed by many other champions. Yes, i know he was strong, but gutting him the way rito did was not the correct way to fix him. Pls rito fix the the issue.

Which is why he's been constantly forced to stay in an incredibly nerfed, garbage state, because he dominates competitive play with even the slightest good numbers, even when he's been trash outside it for over the last 2+ years and has been almost ONLY getting continuously worse over those patches.

I agree that he needs a rework but it is only because of the skill differential that you mentioned yourself.
He is either garbage or godlike, depending on who's hands he is in, which is not healthy.
Astôlfo1 votesYes. His kit is too versatile and high potential/skillcap which means even slightly good numbers makes it god-tier in competitive. So he's forced to stay nerfed to avoid that, which makes him awful for everyone else. But some of the top-tier players still do ridiculously well on him.

I'm assuming you meant to say "was not the correct way to fix him."
Honestly, the only reason that he is weak right now is because his early game is not as easy to grasp. Even then, he is strong, but you have to out play your opponent, and the way he uses zone control is not always intuitive, thus more difficult to pick up.
If Riot is able to adjust him so that he is easier to play early game, he would come back into the meta. I think the drawback there is that this will most likely mean he will be scaled down in the late game, which is where his strength is currently.

The real problem with him are the short games. He has a winrate of more than 50 in plat or higher in games that last 40+ minutes
