Question on Kindred and Bloodthirster

From Kindred R Description: Units in the area who reach the threshold cannot be healed while within for the remaining duration.

From Bloodthirster Description: Your life steal overheals you, converting the excess healing into a shield...

While stuck at the 10% non-death portion of kindreds ultimate, does bloodthirster's auto attacks count as 'excess healing' since it technically is not healing you???

Right now the interaction is a little weird, passive health regeneration, such as Mundo's passive and ult are unaffected, but any direct heals are negated, i.e. soraka. Lifesteal though isn't passive, you have to actively be doing something to receive healing so it shouldn't heal you if you hit the 10% mark; like I said they're still working things out with the ultimate so it could change before long!
