um... why is silver so much harder to get out of than bronze?

So when I first did my placements i got placed in bronze 4 (I thought i was faker once i reached lvl 30), and i got demoted to b5 a few days after. THEN i learned the art of one tricking and tilting enemy team and blasted my way through bronze 5 - bronze 1 in 2 weeks with rene and j4. ONCE i reached silver 5, my strat just went DOWNHILL. People are so much more toxic in silver and once a laner gets first blooded they feed the rest of the game. The only reason why i reached s4 is because i duo'd, meaning one less troll on the team. Should i just keep duoing till i get to gold?

because when people get out of bronze they think they're incredible at the game. So they play cocky, make more mistakes, against slightly better players.

As someone thats climbed from bronze to gold 4 times over the last few seasons, Silver 4 and 5 is harder to climb out of than all of bronze.

My buddy is diamond and he says D5 is the worst of all to climb through.

yea i heard d5 is the true elo hell. but how do i get out of s4? it seems that i win a game, lose 2, win 2 games, lose 1. I cant get a streak going

honestly for me it was a matter of focusing on surviving.

I had good enough mechanics and macro knowledge to make calls and get objectives. But I died a ton. When i started focusing on just surviving and not making the "Risky" plays when they werent necessary, I started climbing. As soon as I hit silver 2, and playing against gold players I had no problem climbing. People seemed to respond to calls, and most people were playing to win.

You can also find a duo partner that can hold his own in lane. He doesnt have to WIN lane, but if you can trust him not to feed/troll/flame, then he's better than most randoms you get queued with.

You need to learn how to either

A. Carry so hard your teammates cannot mess up enough to make you lose

or

B. Learn to subtly control your teammates so they play as a team, rather than 5 people trying to solo carry

Im not incredibly familiar with silver because its been a few seasons since I've had an account in it. But I do remember from when I was in season 5 I got placed bronze 5, and climbing through bronze was chill af, then I got to silver and it just felt absolutely awful to play in. I would say I think its because riots decision to place new accounts in silver, which creates one of the highest skill disparities in the game, which makes games very volatile. Its the same shit in D5 elo hell, huge skill disparities because people who get there through boosts or playing a different role and get massively crushed by actual good players.

Alot of climbing in elo's like that is mostly mental, just dont let yourself play tilted, because there's alot of triggers in those games. And dont play anything team reliant, play as if you're going to have to 1v5.

Also make sure to post alot about how riot needs to fix their ranked placing because I've never heard a reasonable justification for why new accounts have higher mmr than the average league player, and they need to fking fix that. Along with their broken normals matchmaking system.

it isn't harder, they are all the same. Gold to bronze seems the same to me

That pretty much sounds like my time in Silver before the ranks reset. I made it to Silver 4, only just not 3, and indeed most of those games were mostly just trolls or toxic people, the more general aspect of people that don't know "Drilling a person in the ground isn't going to make them play better."

bronze is below average

silver is average

gold is above average

you have to be better then most people to gold ( statistically speaking )
