Tank Rework? Support Rework

This has been bothering me for a while now. Supports are literally irrelevant right now, and instead of trying to actually fix something about the problems that are going on in bot lane, Riot focuses on Tanks next. It has literally become so bad for bot lane that it is better to play two mages on bot than it is to play adc support. Is that what they want? Bot lane overall needs some love. There needs to be specific things that supports can get that other lanes cannot. Just like junglers, I think it could be possible. There has to be some way to get back our supports to where they are viable. I am not talking about mage supports either, I am talking tank supports like thresh, braum, leona, blitz, naut; and characters like soraka, janna, sona, nami, lulu... They are just left in the dust of things, not viable enough to actually be useful past laning phase unless their adc is so ahead that nobody can stop them. Which is rare in this meta. Riot PLEASE focus on the issue of support. I know people who have literally quit the game because they feel supports were left behind. Send us support mains some surveys, ask us what we want/need to see change, something...

Vanguards need a class update because they aren't very diverse. Actual supports are diverse, but are getting the shaft currently because everyone values damage the most.

Sona: 53% win rate Nami: 52.5% win rate Janna: 54% win rate

These guys aren't struggling in terms of results. They're Redemption + Locket abusers, which is an incredibly strong build right now. Personally, I've been having lots of success with Nami lately. I don't even mind picking these into the likes of Zyra or Malz, though I do ban Malz if given the chance because I don't trust my team to be able to properly deal with playing against him.

Not so sure I agree with this at all. Every single player has strong input on the game outcome. No matter the role - To suggest otherwise is just foolish - so I already think that maybe you don't know what you are talking about. Support role can be very impacting. Doubly so if you get a good ADC to partner with, then you can become terrifying and swing games.

Again - This isn't really true. Non-mage supports are still viable. You still see Janna, Nami, and Thresh at the VERY top of the support food chain. You simply don't know what your talking about. Infact, the ONLY support roles that are having problems right now are Support Tanks like Leona and Braum. They don't have good items and are ill-equipped to deal with the mage-meta thats starting bottom... but you know - that's why Riot is going to focus on TANKS next!

There needs to be specific things that supports can get that other lanes cannot. Just like junglers, I think it could be possible. There has to be some way to get back our supports to where they are viable.

I agree that new items could totally help supports, but Riot has been moving in this direction for a long time. We just got a new batch of support items - one of them being broken as all hell. I'd like to see some new Vision items and trinkets. Would be awesome. Your next statement is just as false as it was above, Traditional supports are completely viable. Your insane if you think otherwise. ESPECIALLY in the higher levels of play.

**Every support main wants the same thing - To be rewarded for good play, to have items that allow them to build in a variety of ways, and to be as valuable to the team as the rest of the roles. Riot is pretty close to delivering on this - CERTAINLY way better than it was years ago in earlier seasons. **

I honestly don't think it's a support issue - with the new items like redemption; utility supports are actually in a really good place right now. They are by far the best champions to aid in the late game ADCs that go the typically crit build and carry their teams through their proper supports plays.

Now that being said.... why would you play these supports when the ADCs that they need to be paired with are absolutely useless and games end too quickly for them to hit their power spike? The issue isn't supports themselves; it's the ADC being useless. No point in investing gold, utility and lack of damage into an ADC if you're not going to see any return on that.

Yeah, it's almost like support malz isn't even meta rn.

3 of the 5 champs you listed are not true supports or was ever intended to be supports from gameplay perpective, but riot just does not want to fix that
