but people still pick the rivens and dariuses over the maos anf mundos.. im g2 now and always plating with plats.. why are people so refusing to go a proper tank?

It's not even a tank meta anymore IMO...it's a "ban Sejuani then pick tonsofdamage" meta

Just because its called "the tank meta" doesn't mean everyone has to always play tanks.

People still played Garen, Udyr & Amumu during the Assassin Meta.

Just like people still play Zed, Katarina & Nidalee during the Tank Meta.

Mundo/Shen is just underplayed. Maokai is still around.

Many people were "raised" in a burst meta and so they are really only at their MMR in skill level with bursty characters.

Because solo queue isn't organized enough that you need to pick a tank to teamfight when you can just solo kill the enemy constantly.

Just because Tanks are viable now doesn't mean Damage doesn't carry harder in solo queue. In fact you might notice the only 'OP' tanks are the ones that do a shyt-ton of damage.

If you were trying to climb solo queue, would you a.) Pick a damage champ and kill the damn enemy, or b.) Pick a tank and peel for some rando's that have a good chance of being absolute trash?
