Climbing back out of Bronze is fun too.

Apparently being placed bronze means being eternally placed into a team that just doesn't know how to play the game. in all the games i won during my placements i had really good scores in several games i carried hard. i honestly lost one game and then bug splat fucked me, and a rolling blackout made me disconnect from a game i was winning for five minutes; when i came back the tide had turned and the enemy was in my base. this placement system is honestly broken. it sucks any and all fun out of the game, trying hard, winning hard in lane, making right decisions, but then looking at the scoreboard and seeing that every one on the enemy team having 1-3 kills on average and your team just being purely bad at the game. After all that i got placed bronze 5, i dont feel like i play like bronze 5, my friends also dont think i play like bronze 5 player and yet there i am. I can't even dream of climbing out because players who are good at the game and are also climbing always get placed on the enemy team and yet my team is almost always filled with players that dont play more than one role, have never even seen some champions, and are playing on toaster ovens for computers. it isnt fun. and this placement system is honestly broken.

Apparently being placed bronze means being eternally placed into a team that just doesn't know how to play the game.

It also means being placed AGAINST such teams. If you can't win in Bronze, it's either a sign that you can't adapt to your teammates (which can be hard if you are used to better teammates and is a skill in itself), or that it's your real level.

But the placement system is definitely not broken. I was placed in Bronze 3, and I definitely not play like Bronze 3, but you are intended to be placed lower than your real level at the beginning of a season so that you can climb over the year, and not just bounce up and down around the rank you deserve all year long.

I can't even dream of climbing out because players who are good at the game and are also climbing always get placed on the enemy team and yet my team is almost always filled with players that dont play more than one role, have never even seen some champions, and are playing on toaster ovens for computers.

Of course you can dream of climbing, as I just said, that's precisely the purpose of the placement system. You can have a streak of bad luck, but this above cannot hold true if you play enough games. Just continue playing a bit more, and statistically you'll have the good players on your team and the oven-for-computers as opponents just as often as not.

Am I like the only person that wanted to get placed as low as possible when the new season started ? I ended Silver 5 in Season 6 and got my wish of being placed in B5 for Season 7. I already managed to climb to Bronze 2. I never get why people complain about being placed lower than where they ended. It's quite a bit of fun doing a climb from start again. I certainly wouldn't want to start from where I left off last season. I like this system.

I really didnt get to play ranked much last season. This season I plan to climb. Had some bad games in placement with a few games that had actual trolls, but it will be fun to climb and get better along the way. I think bronze is looked at as "Elo hell" because sooo many people in bronze don't have the fundamentals of the game or basic game knowledge yet and instead of playing normals to learn they go straight to ranked. Either way, trying for at least gold! :)
