Just some thoughts on Diana's E.

Recently I've played a few with Diana and I just wonder; what's the point of giving her a channeling time and such time taking animation on her E ?

Before I sat down to write this, I've checked out some topics about Diana and nearly everywhere, everyone are annoyed by her E and they are listing it as the most useless skill in her kit. Personally I think that it might be pretty useful, but something is stopping it of achieving that status and the reason I think is too long delay.

I assume that this skill meant to be more about pulling people over slowing them down, but because of the delay that skill isn't reaching it's full potential and mostly you just press it because it is there, but in later game for instance you oneshot anyways; therefore what is the point of having a skill that limits your oneshoting potential.

To show what I mean I'll give you an example:

Poppys W works in a similar manner, You can stop someones dash, by pressing your W. What happens is that Poppy nearly immediately casts that round thing (which has similar size to Diana's E) and stops someones dash; shes either not letting him in or out. It's very useful especially against champions like Lucian or Graves that are casting their dashes immediately. Diana's E can also do such things but it has a channeling time and long animation that causes Lucian or Graves dash before the skill actually takes place, causing you to open yourself to free dmg, because they simply have enough time to dash away and aa you.

Imagine a situation where You are low health with Poppy and some Kha is after you, he jumps and you cast W. The ability launches so quickly that Kha bounces off it and You are alive.

Now imagine that Poppy has animation and channeling time of Diana's E. Kha jumps, you cannot cast it while moving, therefore you have to stop making it harder for you. Kha reaches and casts Q, but You are still channeling your skill - You are Dead.

Diana's E not only costs a lot of mana and has long CD, but it is also pretty ... useless. Of course it is nice to slow your enemy for 2 seconds, but why do I need to slow him if I have 2 dashes?? As a Diana player I would actually prefer to juke/cancel enemy skills with it and use it in a more clever way. Also this way I would certainly use it more often in later game as having such thing is just advantage for you over having a slow that is not even worth of using. Pulling/Cancelling > Slow.

Here watch since 2:10 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O-2BtxnZTkU and compare it to this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fKCa5ZwsBcw

All it needs is just to make it available to use while moving and reduce the delay. What is the point of having a pulling skill, if you cannot pull anyone because they dash after they see you casted it and are out of range?
