So I'm a one trick Shyvana, who's second pick is kindred, however kindred has so many match ups that I just really dont want to play, So I wanted to play a safe champion, who has high impact. Trying out Malphite I'm immediately called out as a troll for picking him in the jungle. And there are no updated guides for the jungle so clearly it isn't meta, but I don't see why. His clear is really good, as long as you don't use his q your mana is fine and you can do a regular clear with it. Not to mention you never get low enough to get killed in an evade. I watch alot of league content and know the game really well but at the end of the day I'm only high silver so I wanted to get everyone elses thoughts on it, as to why he isnt picked much.

It is never picked, but it is viable IMO the only issue is that you barely have no pressure at all pre-6 (except for reaaaally over extended toplanes) and once u hit 6 you become being powerful, however your ultimate has a really high cooldown making it hard for you to actually have impact. Play it if you want to, it is not the best champion to jungle but it definitely is not the worse either.

I loveeee malphite jungle. He isn't picked much because he has no dueling potential and his ganks pre-6 are bad unless your laner has some sort of cc. He gets outclassed by things like Sejuani who can do what he does better.

Going AP malphite is super fun and it's about to get better if the buffs on the PBE go through.
