2 years of maintenance is a REALLY long time...

Okay, so there are a TON of posts on here, with Riot replies, about the current 'Tribunal' system and why it's trash and complaining and blah blah blah. I am more upset about the whole "Temporary Maintenance" that has lasted for 2 years now with NO explanation (that I can find) why! The Tribunal system this game DESERVES is the community run vote system about who deserves a ban and who deserves a mute, etc. An AI, as good as it is, just cannot classify the human psyche. It will always run into the logic flaw of 'destroy mankind to save it.' It would be one thing if you guys at Riot would just tell us that your plans for Tribunal are taking longer to realize than you thought, but you are still working on it! Or maybe that coding problems are why it's been down on a "Temporary" maintenance for 2 YEARS now. Or even that the tribunal system has been driving employees into retirement for two years! Just please, for the love of whatever deity you worship, give us SOMETHING to explain this seemingly permanent maintenance...

I have seen the post by Lyte explaining this issue...but that is 2 years old. http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/gameplay-balance/majPomTZ-where-are-tribunal-reports-going Is there NO update at ALL in the last 2 years?

Do you not remember the old tribunal system? All it was was a bunch of self-righteous pricks who logged on to it for a power-trip

XD I had no idea those vids existed.

And yes. I remember the old Tribunal system. I was ONE of those 'self-righteous pricks' who participated. If it's self-righteous to want to rid this game of toxicity, then I will GLADLY accept that title. I have friends who genuinely enjoy the game, but are disgusted with the way Riot handles the Toxicity levels. It's the community, itself, who keeps them from wanting to play. At least the immature ones who like to rub wins in their opponents faces, cry and complain about the smallest things in game, berate their team rather than try to be helpful, or take constructive criticism as a slight and decide to turn into trolls over it. But, alas, this is not the topic of this post.

This is not yet another post trying to point out the flaws in the current system that Riot passes off as a tribunal replacement. This is trying to get to get to the bottom of the ACTUAL tribunal. Is the current system meant to replace it? Are they having problems getting the updated system running? Is it gone for good? And why have they kept passing it off as 'Temporary maintenance' for the last 2 years, leaving the community in the dark for this system that a lot of people felt (And still feel) is necessary?

I'm pretty sure Riot will be working on the Tribunal sometime after the LCU, it was suppose to come earlier this season but then the LCU happened soooo maybe after? There was no ETA for it so I'm guestimating right now.

Was this posted somewhere? I've looked, and haven't been able to find anything about it...

That's the weird thing; I read it somewhere on Riot's side, and now I can't find it either. Checked in with a few Arbiters and they confirmed that they remember Riot said sometime 'soon tm' as in around the time of LCU, though LCU pushed it back. I tried really hard finding a source but I just can't, so I can't be 100% accurate if that is not the case.

My only issue is people getting punished for small things like telling someone to shut up or telling someone they are bad. Most of the people saying this community is too sensitive are super toxic themselves, but one thing is correct and that is that this community (it seems like the whole country lately too) has thin skin. If someone tells you to shut up or says you are bad, I don't think they deserve to be banned, you can just ignore them. If someone is being sexist or racist or homophobic, then ban them because that is unacceptable. If someone is telling you to kill yourself or get cancer, that is unacceptable. These are things the current system is picking up on, the issue everyone is having is that the person who told them they are Bronze hasn't been punished yet... Thats because that person doesn't deserved to be banned, sure they are not nice, but its not really ban worthy and if you are offended by it that much you probably just should AVOID THE ENTIRE INTERNET... because you are going to see a lot worse than that...

So I would prefer that the community didn't judge things, I think there would be an enormous increase in permabans, most of which would be unjustified.
