I've been trying Zed but it's not working.. Every time I want to do my lvl 3 combo (WQWE) she can easily dodge it with her E. She is literally the only champion im having trouble with when playing Zed. I'm trying to ban her but I'm thinking to ban Azir or Fizz (another 2 annoying champions) as well...

Master Yi mid works well vs Katarina if you can execute his W AA reset combo flawlessly. Start long sword refillable with ignite and cheese her at lvl 1 or 2, if the cheese fails (she's stronger than you past level 3) just play upgrade refillable to corrupting potion and farm passively till you have hexdrinker. with 2-3 points in mediate and pots she can NEVER poke you. Once you're strong enough to fight wait for her to throw her dagger thing then Q in and keep attacking, when she ults press W to mitigate the dmg and stall your highlander/wuju style duration then kill her. Alpha strike negates her ultimate as well.
Alternatively pick Kassadin and spam /laugh throughout the whole laning phase.

Katarina is favorite of boosters/smurfs because she is one of the strongest noob stompers
There is no point in banning fizz. Fizz is one of the few champions who can function without high farm count still one shot stuff and be useful. None in bronze can farm, as such he is a waste of ban yes his trickster is annoying though
There is 0 chance you ll see azir which has hands in bronze waste of ban
You mainly want to ban assassins who can multikill and perhaps trynda in low elo
Well, her mobility doesn't really work that well against Zed. But it also works against her as she can jump all over the place avoiding Zed. edited this part for clarity
I find that the best thing to do in my ELO (high silver) is to play a champion with a silence or hard CC, and just play an extremely passive phase until 6. The most important thing against Katarina is to not let her hit you frequently - she will poke you into the ground. Focus on CS, silence/cc her when she ults, and you should be fine.
Specifically, Malzahar and Ahri work very well. I've seen quite a bit of success with Lux too for some reason - but that doesn't shut down the ult, just combos all her health away.
I ban kassadin everygame because he DESTROYS katarina, so i'd go with him

Anything with cc is good against her.
I play a lot of zed and to be honest you lose 1v1 against her until 6 with dusk(unless you poke her often). She's has high base dmg and can deal more dmg than you with components of her items like seekers and revolver etc.
Diana is prob a strong pick due to her high burst and ability to easily counter her ult easily/poke her safely also win melee trades with W shield.
P.S. If you're near her dagger don't even try to fight bc she will reset and burst you so fast.
play a tank or fighter into an assassin imo. ideally one who can push lane nonstop and punish roams or keep them too busy to roam.

Anyone with CC really. When she throws her daggers there's a 90000000000% chance she will shun po to it for some free dmg (if you're close). To counter this just aim your CC at her dagger's location. I think Annie/Malz would be a strong pick to her because Annie can get her stun back when Katarina goes for the trade or all in. Malz can just lock her down with his ult and eat her out.

Instead of trying to kill her, avoid dying against her and roam (you just need to dodge the daggers on the ground and hold your w if you need to escape from ganks), then go roam botlane.
Otherwise, if you wanna kill her you need to pick a champ with cc or wait until your jungler ganks you (with cc) and dive, maybe sejuani, gragas...
Literally just dodge her daggers.. That's all her damage. She throws E>W>Q on you? W to the left or right as zed to evade both daggers. She E>Auto attack? Respond with E>Q>AA> W to evade dagger combo after the first Q hits you.
Nobody knows how to play vs this champ but it's so freaking simple. Don't run to your tower when she starts comboing you. You'll eat her dagger damage and lose trades.
