OKAY RIOT EXPLAIN SOMETHING TO Me...

I got placed in bronze 4 this season and now i am silver 5... but sense in silver 5 every time i win i get 16 points... and when i lose i lose 21 points. How does that make sense? how do you expect someone to win that much ina row to rank up... Riot it shoould not be like that i understand maybe leaving me with 5 points... but to put more loss points over winning points? i got 16 points for 3 barons 5 dragons and all inhibs and nexus got to 37 points. Then i went in and lost a match and i lost 21 points putting me to 15 Points! PLEASE RIOT WHAT IN THE HELL!

it's based off mmr. your mmr is low for your rank. you are actually fighting people lower than silver 5 basically. it will stay this way until you start to lose or win a lot. if you lose a lot, you will get demoted and gaining points will be easier again as the system is reading you as about bronze 1 almost. if you win a lot, that will raise your mmr and you will gain more points. even if you win two and lose one, your mmr should go up slowly.
