Ryze Unironically Needs a Rework.
Ryze can use a rework for multiple reasons, I'll list them out.

He has a horrid mix of being very weak/easy to beat, but mindnumbingly painful to play against. His point and click root makes me want to cry, because I can never engage on him. But in the grand scheme of things, he sucks in almost every other aspect if you're not godly at him.

He's impossible to balance. He is busted af in high elo, but if you nerf him he will be literally unplayable in lower elo, and vice versa. That means he will never be balanced through all or most levels of play with this kit.

His ult is just... Blegh. I feel like it can only be good in specific situations, and at level 1 it's very hard to do much with it. You can set up really predictable flanks, but that's about it. It's just a worse Tahm Kench ult. Not to mention you can troll your team so easily with it...

His laning phase is decently dominant with all the waveclear he has, but he can't teamfight. He has little AOE to be useful with in fights, and all he really can do with it is waveclear.
I really hate to say it, but Ryze can really use another rework. AND DON'T FUCK IT UP THIS TIME. Thank you.
(Also allow me to invalidate this entire post. I've never played Ryze before.)
