No one wants to autofill in ranked, but it needed to help que times. Can we please opt out of one position that we do not want to get autofilled into. I think this would make it a more positive experience for most players. I would gladly support over jungle anyday, but other players would rather the later. Please give us our choice back this isn't blind pick its ranked.
DOUBLE TAPPED E2 votesSame here, I'm a solo laner and I spend all my practice time last-hitting under turret and fighting people 1v1 / 1v2. I'm not a good jungler or a good adc or a good support at all.
I really am bad at bot lane especially because I'm very unused to playing with someone else in the lane against 2 other people during laning phase. I always misread my support and end up taking poke or using an ability on the wave when they are trying to go in for a fight.
I can kind of jungle... I know the IDEA behind how to jungle, I just don't have the execution down, and most of the jungle champions don't really fit with my personal playstyle.
I could practice them all and be average at them all I guess, but the only way I can have a high impact on games and feel like I'm contributing to the win instead of just "not feeding," is by playing my main roles (mid > top). I have a much higher winrate in those 2 lanes than any other by a large margin.

The point of autofill is so that one role nobody likes actually gets played. There's a reason that playing support also gives you autofill protection.

Depends on elo, vast majority of players auto fill that locked out 1 role would be a massive improvement and its not like everyone is going to block the same role.
For example i set Mid/Support and have been Autofilled into Top/Bot quite a lot.

Currently they have a system that (mostly) works in every region but you're asking them to move to a system that might not work in certain ELO and/or certain regions. Also even if they switch and it works for now if they have future balance issues that come up it might stop working.
The issue is that if there is one role that no one wants to play. That is what autofill was invented to prevent. The option to "choose any role but x" does not help with this situation. Currently jg and sup (in my ELO and my region) are both equally undesirable so the "choose any role but x" option would probably be fine, but if they made further jg changes and it dropped significantly in popularity then there could be an issue down the road.

DOUBLE TAPPED E2 votesIf that's true, then why is it that I often see "Autofilled?" on 2-3 people of one team, while the other team has 4-5 on their main role / champion? (either my team or the enemy team doesn't matter, it's imbalanced is the point.)
Edit: Oh right I need to provide context... this is when I look up the pre-game analysis on porofessor.gg to see which lanes are easiest to pick on and whether or not i need to worry about ganks.
inuitmailman1 votesQuick tip I’ve found. Set mid as your secondary and you will always get your first position ;). Hehehe but also better know how to play mid if this (rarely) backfires (VERY RARE). And if you’re playing mid. Yea I got nothing for ya 🤪 I’m a masochist and usually play ranked straight fill anyways. But I’m also low elo. Try it out it’s fun until you get filed jg 82 times-_-
