[Rework Concept] Evelynn, the Widowmaker

Everybody knows that Eve is a high damage assassin with escapes and CC. But her kit is old. This is my rework suggestion for her. Also Riot you should do an Assassins Update this or the next year.

Passive - Expert Assassin Current passive is surprising, but Eve can be detected very easily.

Evelynn gains 10% less movement bonuses from every item (due to those high heels, it takes a lot of effort). Casting an ability gives Evelynn a bonus movement buff as if she gained all movement speed bonuses from items that runs out after 2s (/40/30/20(?)s cd). When the movement buff finishes Evelynn gains Getaway buff for 10s. Getaway: After not taking damage for 3s, Eve fades into the shadows gaining 10% more movement speed. New Stealth will be more hard to detect that the current one. If Eve stands still while Stealthed, she can't be detected, unless a Rengar ults or there's a vision ward nearby. (Recalling will reveal her) The first spell/attack out of stealth will deal 2/4/6% of the target's missing health as true damage.

Q - Deadly Spikes Current Q is very strong, although has a low cd. Also it's Eve's main source of damage if she's an AP One Shotter.

Evelynn targets an area. After a delay of 1/0.75/0.5s, she projects a spikes in every enemy unit that is inside. If 2 or more enemy champions are hit, Eve projects another wave of spikes which slows their movement and deals 5% more damage.

W - Devastating Pirouette Her Old W will remain as a buff to this new ability, even though it somewhat became her new passive.

Evelynn performs a spin, Ravaging nearby enemies that are hit. Killing more than one unit with Devastating Pirouette grants Evelynn Frenzy. Frenzy: Evelynn removes slows, gets Passive's burst of movement speed and can move through units.

E - Ravage Her current E is good, but not too good or less good.

Evelynn Ravages her target, slashing it 2/2/3/3/4 times and deals X damage for each Ravage. After that, her target is Injured. Attacking an Injured target deals increased damage for some amount of health it's missing.

R - Hope's End I can't lie, current R is pretty good but requires hitting many champions for it to work.

Evelynn marks an area. After 1s, all enemies in it are impaled to the ground (rooted) and dealt a portion of their health as damage. After the root ends, Evelynn gains a shield for each enemy hit. Enemies, who have been rooted, and are running away from Evelynn are slowed.

Please remember this is my OPINION for Evelynn and I'm not asking/pleading for these changes to happen, I'm suggesting them. I hope my suggestion satisfied you enough and if not feel free to tell your disagreement and what should change according to your opinion.

If she ever get reworked (which she should), they need to get rid of her stealth altogether.

Stealth is toxic in League of Legends. They never really find a good way to implement it correctly.

Then you obviously don't know how to counter stealth.....i rarely ever have a stealthed character sneak up on me.

When i was jg Shyv, their top laner was teemo and i figured he was hiding in the bush...So i used my skill shot to hit him (got lucky and did) then ran in with my aura revealing him before i made that yordle a snack.

Yeah... just fyi the "then you obviously don't know how [...]" are stupid arguments.

I never said I had an issue with her stealth. I love Evelynn. It's been my favorite champion since her release. I'm just saying that the reason she's underperforming and will never be allowed to shine is because of the stealth. All of her power budget is syphoned by it.

My Eve jg shines against even a Nasus.

I really like the passive suggestion, stealth should be a bit more complex than it is now.

This just seems like a buff to everything. Maybe I'm not reading it right, but she seems to be faster and more undetectable in rotations, higher damage by a ton, and has better CC with actual escape potential.

It's great that you like Evelynn enough to think about her future, but I don't think this rework of yours addresses the underlying issue with Evelynn, which is the fundamental issue of sight, stealth, detection, and denial in League.

Consider that, with very few exceptions, League's vision system is virtually the same as that of DotAs. Why is it, that in a game this polished, this innovative, that stealth and the vision game has evolved very little? A game with over a hundred champions, over 50 'mythic' and 'legendary' items, there are only a handful of abilities and even less items that interact with stealth?

Personally, I think Riot needs to double-down on the vision game and stealth mechanics.

What if champions such as Evelynn, Nocturne, and Teemo, had multiple ways of gaining or denying vision? Did you know Shaco has three ways inherent to his kit of playing with vision? It's true. Imagine if Teemo, rather than his current Q, had a 'nearsight' effect like Quinn or Graves. It's a form of pseudo-stealth, one that complements his passive stealth, and the vision he gets from his traps. What if Nocturnes' Shroud of Darkness actually made him invisible?

Imagine if the Evelynn we have currently on Live had only one change - a new ultimate.

"Evelynn removes herself and the target enemy champion from the map for X seconds, placing themselves in an exact 'shadow realm' with no other units. During this time, Evelynn and her target are completely undetectable and untargetable to all units on the map, and at the end of the duration both emerge back at their current location."

Would she be a better assassin? Is there sufficient counterplay in such an ability? How much fun would it be?

I think so. There are a lot of possibilities for the vision game, Riot just needs to open their eyes.

You need to study champions and figure out how champion design works. I can't tell if this is a passive aggressive shot at Eve or not, but I'm leaning towards you being serious.

I conceptually think a stealth can sit on her passive. The biggest issue though, in its current form, most of her power budget has tied to her stealth passive, leaving her ultimate and some of her other abilities feeling lack luster. If some variable and counter play can actually be tied into it. Then it free up some of her power for other aspects of her kit.

Passive: Shadow's Embrace

When Evelynn breaks vision with enemy champions for .XX seconds (A primer to introduce counter play and a lever to adjust power) she gains stealth for X.X Seconds (An other lever to adjust power budget). Attacking or Activating an ability breaks stealth. When she gains stealth her abilities become empowered. (Rewarding Evelynn with gaining this ability)

"high damage" lol bitch where

i cant even burst an adc or squishy now unless im fed

if im not fed the best i could do is bring them to 30% health full combo req and sometimes gunblade active

then i just spam q and try to auto after that i usually end up with half my health or more if the adc they got is actually good at kiting and what not

and um 10% less movespeed wtf? that would 60% 70% if counting the ward slot
