I suggest riot make series for the player who is about to be demoted like how there are series for the players going to be promoted. At least he should been told "u will be demoted if u lose this game". Im gold 5 and lost a match while Im 0 Lp and Im so afraid if the next loss will demote me or I have more shots.
Sukishoo1 votesThere is usually a popup that tells you when you are going to drop from the tier. At tier Vs though you don't have to worry too much as you have to lose a majorly large amount of games to drop.

Winterwings1 votesOr you can simply not play at all since there is no such thing as ranked decay in Gold and below... so you know... Season ends on Nov 7, at least you'll get to keep the border and end of season rewards if you're afraid of demotion because of it...
Douglas Funnie1 votesYou would have to drop a reasonable amount of MMR to be a candidate for demotion. One way to find out is to see you, your team's and enemy's MMR. If your playing with silver 4-5 players, you are definitely close to demotion. To get an estimate of what your hidden MMR is, check out op.gg
If your MMR is 3,4 and in extreme cases 5 divisions below your current Rank, that's a red sign. I would take is easy. Since Gold players do not decay, I would stop playing because the season ends in less than a month. In about 20 days, Season 7 will finish and ranked rewards will be handed out. You'll receive Victorious Graves and a chroma, with a gold loading screen border if you end the season at gold.
