Rengar Bonetooth Necklace Rework Idea.

To get it out of the way, I play Rengar regularly. I find him fun, his leap especially, and the ferocity system as well. I believe that he is more of an assassin/diver/fighter than just an assassin. I like him in patch 7.2 but it's clear why he can become/and is frustrating to play against. I think that currently his Bonetooth Necklace isn't being used to the fullest extent. So here is what I came up with.

Keep every ability the same as it will be once patch 7.3 comes out, with the exception of the ultimate. Remove the free critical strike.

Completely change the Bonetooth Necklace passive to this.

Rengar gains two bonuses per unique champion kill. These bonuses come in the forms of bonus damage and additional effects to his abilities. The bonuses are gained when he kills a target but they may only be activated once an ability is maxed. This means that the passive bonus can be automatically unlocked once the first kill is acquired.

The damage bonuses go as followed: 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, and 25% increase in BONUS AD. Since it's bonus ad it means that to make the passive effective a more ad build is required, making tank and bruiser less viable because there is no flat ad granted. Also even though these bonuses can be gained early levels they can only be unlocked when the ability bonuses are acquired.

Each kill lets rengar upgrade his abilities once they are maxed.

Passive: at the end of a leap rengar gains bonus movement speed(20%) and bonus attackspeed (40%), both lasting for 1 second.

Q: the empowered version of the ability gains 50 units on the dash range.

W: the empowered version gives an additional 1.5 seconds of CC immunity after the cleanse.

E: both versions of the ability are without cast time.

R: 7 additional seconds on duration of camouflage.

These changes might seem like they are reverses of the nerfs and that is because they are. The reasoning for taking away the old Bonetooth Necklace passive from riot was because they said that it was unfair for players to have to adapt to the changes in his kit ( the leap range, R duration, movements speed in bush). Not trying to be toxic but that reasoning was complete rubbish from riot's part. In game you have to adapt to certain other champions like Viktor and Kha'Zix as well but they weren't mentioned even though their changes were more drastic. Also all the bonuses are hindered by two major factors. Getting kills and reaching the certain levels. Abilities are usually maxed at levels 9, 13, 16, and 18. Meaning that if any kills are acquired beforehand only the 5% increase and leap passive are gained. This gives Rengar the tools he needs but also keep him from being oppressive early on. And if he manages to be strong late game as well.

These are just my thoughts. I'm a gold player so keep that in mind btw. Please share thoughts below. Hope a rioters sees this. Criticize!!!!! It helps.

he's honestly really balanced right now, the nerfs to him on 7.3 are more QOL for his enemies, many people think he's not balanced but he is, he doesn't have any great ganking presence without his ult, he's fairly squishy, and if you shut him down early, trying to get caught up is absolutely brutal, rengar is fine imo, especially after 7.3 because they won't hit him too hard but the enemy will notice a change for the better

Ty for ur response! For most part I agree with you, except for the W nerf. As an assassin he needs a good escape. Imo without the CC immunity he has nothing. I tried to implement it back in while at the same time restricting how fast he could unlock it.
