when i play illaoi against morde its just a lost in top lane cuz you cant use your only dmg against him cuz when i start a fight and ulted him he just take me to his death realm and all my tentecals are gone

Hardly = almost not. Example: I can hardly drive = I suck at driving. I'm hardly working = I'm probably getting fired soon. Morde hardly counters Illaoi = Morde only very little counters Illaoi.

it's rare that a hard counter pops up in lol i haven't seen a hard counter in this game since blitzcrank/udyr and old galio

BTW if you as illaoi build a item 3137 or item 3140 you can insta remove Morde's ulti (not so sure as to why it does that though)...

Yes the item essentially hard counters morde by giving mag resist and an ult counter.

It'll also probably make your Illaoi life against him much easier too.

EDIT: forgot GP's w just nulls it too (possible new main?)...

Yeah I have noticed that, I don't think it is that bad though, personally, I have found laning against him pretty easy since he is that close range champion Illaoi wants to fight, and his E is really easy to dodge.
