Banning your own team's hero picks = un-necessary grief and toxicity. Remove that option, please!!

In team select, you now get to see what hero each member of your team is planning on playing.

A toxic person can then ban the hero you have planned, just to be annoying and troll.

I've had this happen to me numerous times. Which usually devolves into verbal disagreements among teammates and setting a toxic atmosphere for the entire game. Which results in misery for everyone, rather than fun.

A simple solution?

Make it so that YOUR team can't ban any of the (up to) five heroes that your team has pre-selected as preferred champions. This eliminates the chance of toxic play with basically no down side.

I'll ban the living shit out of Graves if our last pick wants to play him. I'm not risking the enemy team getting him.

am i the only one who doesnt find him annoying? i went vs him top and i rushed item 3123 as Riven and he healed for like next to nothing and i destroyed him. thankfully my team was hitler so we lost it regardless.

I agree, but item 3123 doesn't help AP mage's. item 3165 helps for sure, But getting him down to 40% HP can be a challenge sometimes.

Riot addressed this issue they basically said if your top is last pick and wants to play jax, mundo, insert stong champion you shouldn't be forced to risk the fact their top could be first pick and pick mundo jax or the current op champions. If the ability to ban peoples champs who they intend to play is removed then I could troll by picking mundo or jax so we can't ban them. Then I don't play them so the enemy team can pick them.

But if your team is concerned about Jax, just pick him with your first pick, then trade him to your top that wants the hero. Not that tough to do.

And with 128 champs, the enemy team only gets to pick one of them first. No champ is so overpowered that they are a mandatory ban. Riot does balance the champions. One in 128? That's pretty long odds. And if they do? So what, pick another FOTM for your own team.

Not everyone owns the same champs so having first pick pick won't always work. If the other fotm picks are banned. In old champ select people could ban who you want to play. If you want to play a fotm champ then you have to risk them being banned.

It has room for trolling sure, but what if I want to ban a champion so I don't have to face it on the enemy team? Like Mundo.

Funny you should mention this. Had a game the other day where I chose Mundo as my pick intent and one of the guys banned him out of fear that the enemy team might get him 1st.

This wouldn't work because as others have said.. if you want to play the FOTM champ (ex: DrMundo ) But you aren't first pick then as everyone else has said the smart thing to do would be to ban said mundo.
