Swain Swain Swain, where has the love gone?

I've been thinking a bit about this and I'm wondering when we're gonna see a swain update in the near future? When's the last time he's gotten love and been given a skin?

People and dev's wonder why he's gotten so low on the totem pole when it comes to game play and it's pretty obvious! The character has stagnated with the lack of love he's been given. He was a super popular champion back in the day but now, he's almost been forgotten even though he's got a pretty good win rate especially at higher elo.

Here are some thoughts on his abilities and what I THINK would be beneficial towards his gameplay as to match the lore as being the master tactician.

Queen of The Carrion

After successfully killing a minion or champion Beatrice comes to collect one eye of the fallen champion, after collecting 10 eyes Beatrice will come to the shoulder of Swain. granting a .5%-4.5% increase in damage to his next ability (based on level.)

Weak and Weary (PREVIOUSLY DECREPIFY)

RANGE: 900 / 475 COST: 65 / 70 / 75 / 80 / 85 Mana COOLDOWN: 16/ 14 / 13 / 12 / 11

Active: Swain uses his magical abilities to summon a foggy cloud that wreaks a malaise onto the target or targets within the vicinity, slowing them down and reducing damage by 5% while taking 7% damage from Swain and his allies. If target is below 50% health damage is reduced by 7% and damage taken is increased by 10%.

If used in conjunction with Queen of The Carrion proc, damage is increased by % of the passive to all party members.

Magic Damage Per Second: 40 / 50 / 60 / 80 / 100 (+ 20% AP) 」

Slow: 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 / 40%

Nevermove (KEEP IT but let's change it up a bit!)

RANGE: 900 / 150 COST: 80 / 85 / 90 / 95 / 100 Mana COOLDOWN: 18 / 16 / 14 / 12 / 10

Active: Swain marks the target area. After a 0.875-second delay, talons grab onto enemy units within, dealing magic damage and Root icon rooting them for a short duration. Enemies caught in this ability have their magic resistance reduced with the effect lasting 2 seconds after movement is regained.

Magic Damage: 80 / 130 / 180 / 230 / 280 (+ 55% AP) Root Duration: 1 / 1.25 / 1.5 / 1.75 / 2 Magic Resistance Reduction 5 / 8 / 11 / 15 / 19

Melancholy Burden (PREVIOUSLY TORMENT)

RANGE: 625 COST: 65 / 70 / 75 / 80 / 85 Mana COOLDOWN: 12

Active: Swain sends a flock of ravens to fly around a target crowing, deals magic damage to them over 5 seconds while also sapping Health and mana/energy/rage away from the target while siphoning it back to Swain as mana. Melancholy Burden also amplifies Swain's damage against them by 5% for the duration.

Enhanced Magic Damage Per Second: 12 / 20 / 28 / 36 / 42 (+25% AP) Mana/Energy/Rage/Health reduced by .25 / .5 / .75 / 1 / 1.5% per second Mana gained .2 / .4 / .6 / .8 / 1% per second

Ravenous Flock

RANGE: 700 COST: 50 Mana Per Second + 10 Per Additional Second COOLDOWN: 15

Toggle: No longer needing legs to walk, Swain assumes the form of a demonic raven gaining 10% movement speed, 200 health, 20 armor and 25 magic resist. During this time, lesser ravens strike out, one every 0.2 seconds at up to 5 nearby enemies and dealing magic damage to them, prioritizing champions. Each enemy can only be attacked by one raven at a time and only once per second.

Swain heals himself for a small amount against minions and monsters, and for a bigger amount against champions. If targets are also caught in the Weak and Weary spell, healing is increased by 3%.

Magic Damage Per Raven: 40 / 60 / 80 (+ 20% AP) Heal Per Raven Vs. Non-Champions: 10 / 13 / 17 (+ 7% AP)

As you can see, I've given him less on some of the ap modifiers/magic damage for his abilities to tone down his OPness and increased in other spots. As a master tactician I believe this allows him to come into a team fight to with a game plan or to initiate better as a more AP bruiser type of champion. I've made him more of a utility type champion that would focus as a counter to champions like Shyvanna, Gnar, Zed, Akali and Renekton etc etc.

He is a champion that helps increase damage but can also sustain and deal it.

While this is not perfect I do believe it is a step in the right direction towards Swains roll as more of a TRUE support/ap bruiser.

comments? criticism? ideas?

Thanks, MAKE Swain GREAT AGAIN
