Way to ask for a Permanent or Temporary chat restriction on your account.

I am asking for riot to add a way to ask for a Permanent or Temporary chat restriction on your account to stop yourself from being toxic and inevitably banned. I have contacted Riot support requesting for my alternate account to get chat restricted just for the safety of my account not getting banned and the support representative forwarded me to the boards so here I am. I hope this can go through to riot. Thank you for reading. [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

turn off All chat in settings, unbind your enter key, and maybe mute all at the beginning of the game.

Cool and all but sometimes in the heat of the moment you get really cranky and need to release the anger. But I see what you are saying and I have tried this but sometime yours truly gets A N G E R Y. Tryndamere

I have asked before they gave me some vague response to why they couldn't do it. I am in the same boat as you.

Why the hell would Riot support forward you to the boards?

You sure it was support that you contacted?

Anyway, just unbind the enter key

I am like 99.9 percent sure it was riot support. And why wouldn't that forward me to the boards lol. And I think that unbinding the enter key doesn't stop myself from the rage getting to my head.

Because the boards generally can at best help you out as much as the support itself

You can just rage without anyone knowing, like how Trick does it. He types the first few letters of the word and then adds gibberish.

Riot Support said that your best bet is requesting this to be a added feature. And raging again its unavoidable.

I believe you can turn off chat in the settings. So chat wont show up, or player chat wont show I think. If anything just make it a habit to mute everyone at the start of every game. Chat can be slightly useful to win, but if you feel like it hinders you more than assists you, just mute everyone every game.

I don't think it is possible to make chat not show up all I know is that you can make it so you can't crossteam chat (/all chat) I think I know what you mean when chat can be useful to win and I can mute everyone but that still doesn't stop them from seeing me flame them. As in mute yourself. You have the tools to do it.

Uncheck all chat.
Unbind chat key.
Drag the chat off screen.
Or just don't be toxic.

I think that sometimes there are cases were yes this helps. But sometimes the rage gets to my head and need to release anger. Thanks for the help though.

Hi there! You can actually drag the chatbox off screen, making it not visible... and it stays there in future games! Just press enter to bring the chat box up, and on the thick top border click and drag the top right corner... i'd leave just a sliver left in case you want to drag it back in the future!

PS: Its a good practice, stops you from getting tilted!

I have tried these methods and Riot Support actually suggested this. But in the heat of the moment sometimes the rage gets to me.
