Good Top Lane Who's Good in TF's?

Hey everyone,

I'm relatively new (level 26) and I've gotten up to 6300 ip again, so I can buy any champion I please. Yes, I know I can buy runes and that I should, but I have a pretty small champ pool and would like to focus on getting another champ or two first. I'm looking for a good top laner who tends to do well in ranked (once I get there... eventually) and who is a good teamfighter. I've been looking at fiora , aatrox , riven , and wukong , but am open to other champs. Please let me know what you think!

What type of team fight are you looking for? Garen is good at siege comps, as he can tank poke damage and silence the enemy team initiator. Wukong is a good dive comp champion, just make sure your team is ready to follow up on your initiation. Fiora and Riven are alright when there is another initiator on the team, but are best at catching people in smaller fights.

Then there are champions like Tryndamere who don't seem like good team fighting champs, but their entire goal is to split the enemy team. Teamfights will be focused around hit and run tactics, with a split pusher being a distraction. If they do not send more than one person to stop you you can continue pushing relatively unhindered, but if they do your team is left with a 4v3 in their favor. The trick is to be pressuring two objectives at the same time, you can't just stay top all game, you have to go in when your team is going in elsewhere.

If you want a real team fight impacting champion, Wukong is probably the best or at least has the most "impact" out of them with his ultimate. Has good dps and a knock up and he scales pretty well into the top lane. He also has a stealth with his W so you can play mind games w/ people, so its kind of fun. I'm not too sure on aatrox so I won't talk about him, as any opinion I give will be biased and probably wrong. Fiora and Riven are strong, but I feel they are more meant to dominate their lane and then become a problem the other team can't handle. They work great in teamfights, but if the other team has CC or you go in at a bad time, it will result in your death.
