So its preseason and we can still play soloque... whats the point of ranked during this time? does it have any affect? To my understanding the rewards ended last night, yet i can still rank up... If I hit plat, will i get the border?

You won't get any rewards for your Rank during the preseason.

There are a few benefits of playing Ranked still, though;

It's Ranked! The Ranked matchmaking experience is better than Normal. You're more likely to play with people of a skill level similar to yours, if that's what you're wanting.
Raise your MMR for a better 2016 placement! Even though you can't improve your rewards now, your 2016 placement is based on your MMR, which you can still help or harm.
