Why is autofill so frequent?

It feels like i get auto filled every 5 games, and its annoying. It needs to stop, its ruining my climb especially even more that my main yasuo gets banned like 50% of the time

It's so frequent because people started to complain about the Q times having to wait 5 mins to get their roles so Riot did this autofill to eliminate the Q times.

i find it better when atleast i get my role because at the very least i can climb like that tho. i would rather wait 20 minutes for a game than get a game and spend 40 minutes of my time wasted just to lose lp

1 of few people willing to wait 20 mins to get the role that you want but before this auto fill crap these boards were filled with people complaining about the Q.
40 mins huh, I personally haven't played a 40 min game in what feels like a year. Either my team wins by the 20 min mark and lose by the 20 min mark.
All this really because of the support role- like no one wants to play support really, especially when it's the hardest role to try to carry from as well as you need to protect some random that in most cases sucks.
