Accessibility - Speed Settings for Disabled People
Dear Riot Games team and community,
TL;DR: It would be great for disabled people to have the possibility to play special games that are entirely slowed down for every player in that special game (for instance to 50%).
I'm a Game Designer from the ENJMIN (French national school devoted to video games) and, as a LoL fan, I recently decided to study the accessibility for LoL players with disabilities and try to find more solutions.
To make it short, I will only focus on one point of that study that I find the most relevant and that would be great and original to see in an online battle game.
First of all I would like to quickly say that LoL already has a lot of good features helping disabled people play the game. It is also a very good thing that the game is often updated and improved with the help of the community.
Then, keep in mind that the people who grew up with computers and video games or became gamers are getting older and are more numerous. It's not only for people born disabled or who had an accident, every one can be concerned.
For instance, the simple fact of getting older eventually affects hearing, vision, mobility and cognition.
A great solution would be: SPEED SETTINGS: Having special games where everything and every one is slowed down to a certain percentage, for instance 80 or 50% of the normal speed. You could also think of it as the opposite of the URF mode. That would help people with:
- Mobility disorders to have better controls on their champion at the right time, according to what happens in the game and to what special controller they may use to play.
- Vision disorders to have the time to perceive all the visual feedbacks and information that the game displays.
- Cognitive disorders to process what is going on and react to it.
For information, a few LoL players with mobility disorders play very well and are famous:

- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WBKlzLMj7zY However, they are very few and we should not forget that a lot of disabled people could be potential LoL players or have a better experience with some improvements in the game like the Speed settings.
To finish, don't forget that this is only one thing LoL could do to get even better regarding accessibility.
Thanks for taking the time to read and have a great day :)
