ARURF sucks

Seriously though, don't get me wrong I have more fun playing it then I do in normal summoners rift games but it is a bad gamemode compared to it's predecessor URF. URF was fun you could pick people you actually wanted to play instead of getting crappy champions that are so bad in the specific gamemode. I know Riot tried to do the right thing by releasing it to try and stop everyone from only picking op champs in URF but it doesn't work. Even atop all that they never release the gamemode anyway. I can't even remember the last time it was released yet Poro King and Ascension are always out because everyone just totally loves those gamemodes (seriously everyone I know hates them because they're so ridiculously repetitive). Even after they release ARURF to try and make it less one-sided the enemy always, and I mean always, gets completely overpowered picks like Zed, Evelynn, etc. While I'm stuck with crap like Warwick. Seriously Riot should just give URF another shot (this time with 10 bans) and it'll most likely work out and everyone definitely won't be so frustrated with the team comps. (I know ARURF hasn't been out for a while and this is completely irrelevant currently but who cares)

I like ARURF way more than URF. It makes it so I don't have to pick an "OP" or be considered a 'trolling liability' to my team. Sure the team with more waveclear usually wins, but it's way more diverse than it ever was.

In normal URF, you get to pick who you want, but then so do they... ARURF kills the meta around the game mode and lets it just be chaos, like URF is supposed to be. If you feel like you're getting screwed over by the random draft, that's either bad luck, confirmation bias, or both. Leave the strategy to One For All.

there is barely a meta to it. its very fluid in the clusterfest of it all when you get down to it. if someone chooses they wanna play heim or something its not that big of a deal. with this ten ban system, we will most likely avoid seeing zed every game anyways, or karthus, or soraka. we don't need all random anymore. if im playing urf, i want to be in control of what champ i wanna be stuck with for potentially an hour if its a real good game.

10 bans. hec was usually banned anyways. hell for urf, they should make it so you can see the enemy teams bans as well and we would never have this problem.

The only reason i like it is because its a breath of fresh air when you see the same champions played over and over again. Then you actually have a legit excuse when playing poorly, or get a troll pick.

I cannot tell you how many threats i got just because i wanted to play a certain champion, but my teammates wanted me to play X-champion because it was open. its dumb. This is suppose to be a game where everyone can enjoy, yet people take a game mode like URF as if it was more serious than Rank.

normal URF was so broken though, THAT wasn't even fun. Just pickEvelynn Hecarim Zed and all the broken champions in the game.

The mode wasn't supposed to be balanced, the whole purpose was to make it a joke mode. There were bans for a reason and now we can have up to 10 there is nor reason for arurf to be the only urf mode that shows up maybe twice a year. arurf you know who is gonna win when you see the champs and now you're stuck in a shit game for the next 15 minutes or so of being shit on. In urf you picked what you wanted, even if it was a lost game you most likely had fun. And complaining about always seeing the same thing is ridiculous, every mode has higher picked champs, especially modes like legend of the poro king, yet riot doesn't make that all random but they sure as hell put the mode up every chance they get. I'd rather see people playing what they want and making stupid comps and everyone probably having fun rather than one team getting stomped every game and people leaving the game salty over the champ they were forced to play.

Yeah because everyone loves to get 1shot all the time and have no counterplay. The worst offenders made it to where no other champion you picked was worth picking because you die in an instant, you can't even enjoy the champ.

No one can one shot you from the get go and again, BANS. You don't like a champ ban them, have other people on your team ban others. I enjoyed everything I tried back in old urf, between just champs built differently to funny team comps built around some stupid mechanic like pulls or knockups. The difference between arurf and urf is that in urf if someone was a really strong champ chances are you had at least the same number on your team, in arurf you can go against a whole team of the "one shotters" while you are shitty no engage champs that just get shit on for at least 15 minutes. Whenever I picked a champ I liked in the mode I had fun playing them whether it was a win or a loss, with arurf it's a struggle to even play 3 games straight without being completely tilted from 2 out of the 3 games being ass

Edit: Also you think arurf is balanced? fat chance, people have accounts with certain champs only that they hop on to play things like aram and arurf and because the "random" isn't between all champs but just the users pool the "random" does nothing to make the game more "balanced" or "equal" in any way. and seeing diversity in champs played is going full retard when every other rotating game mode has champs that are played more than others due to them being better then the rest in that mode, yet riot does nothing to "fix" that

Then everyone will complain that X champ is NEVER played. X champ is either always picked or always banned. ARURF makes it fair so neither is the case.

Who would complain? Please tell me. There are plenty of enjoyable champs to play in urf or fun comps to mess around with so that X champ not being available is fine. Like I said before Arurf is literally the complete opposite of "fair" you know who won the game when you see the teams immediately. I can't even recall every having a somewhat good fight in an arurf game, it's always so one sided that the game is unfun for a team for the entire duration of the match like getting taric against a jayce morgana lane. At least 15 minutes of that torture and you'll get reported for afking or get punished for dodging a game you know will be unfun. AND AGAIN the random doesn't encompass the entire champ pool, just what you own so if you only own X champions that are good in arurf then BOOM you are almost always gonna get one of them with the only exception being the free rotation champs. I've been listing these reasons so many times now and what you're saying aren't even arguments against my points so I don't see why you're even bothering to respond at all to be honest.

i'd rather choose to get raped than have the game give me some shit champ that i dont like playing, what if i liked playing weak champs like teemo on urf? he gets one shot by everyone unless their a marksman and still he's very annoying but stupid easy to get rid of, just buy any mr and he's useless unless your team doesn't have an assassin he's ok

I can't tell if you're suggested a one-off regular URF, or replacing AR URF with regular URF as the go-to URF mode. If the former, I agree, since I would like to see regular URF come back once a year or some such. If the latter, I disagree, because I think AR URF is a less stale, overall more fun gamemode to dick around with for several games over a weekend.

Regardless, I would absolutely love seeing either one come back in the near future.
