ARURF sucks

Seriously though, don't get me wrong I have more fun playing it then I do in normal summoners rift games but it is a bad gamemode compared to it's predecessor URF. URF was fun you could pick people you actually wanted to play instead of getting crappy champions that are so bad in the specific gamemode. I know Riot tried to do the right thing by releasing it to try and stop everyone from only picking op champs in URF but it doesn't work. Even atop all that they never release the gamemode anyway. I can't even remember the last time it was released yet Poro King and Ascension are always out because everyone just totally loves those gamemodes (seriously everyone I know hates them because they're so ridiculously repetitive). Even after they release ARURF to try and make it less one-sided the enemy always, and I mean always, gets completely overpowered picks like Zed, Evelynn, etc. While I'm stuck with crap like Warwick. Seriously Riot should just give URF another shot (this time with 10 bans) and it'll most likely work out and everyone definitely won't be so frustrated with the team comps. (I know ARURF hasn't been out for a while and this is completely irrelevant currently but who cares)

I like ARURF way more than URF. It makes it so I don't have to pick an "OP" or be considered a 'trolling liability' to my team. Sure the team with more waveclear usually wins, but it's way more diverse than it ever was.

In normal URF, you get to pick who you want, but then so do they... ARURF kills the meta around the game mode and lets it just be chaos, like URF is supposed to be. If you feel like you're getting screwed over by the random draft, that's either bad luck, confirmation bias, or both. Leave the strategy to One For All.

normal URF was so broken though, THAT wasn't even fun. Just pick Evelynn Hecarim Zed and all the broken champions in the game.

The only reason i like it is because its a breath of fresh air when you see the same champions played over and over again. Then you actually have a legit excuse when playing poorly, or get a troll pick.

I cannot tell you how many threats i got just because i wanted to play a certain champion, but my teammates wanted me to play X-champion because it was open. its dumb. This is suppose to be a game where everyone can enjoy, yet people take a game mode like URF as if it was more serious than Rank.

I can't tell if you're suggested a one-off regular URF, or replacing AR URF with regular URF as the go-to URF mode. If the former, I agree, since I would like to see regular URF come back once a year or some such. If the latter, I disagree, because I think AR URF is a less stale, overall more fun gamemode to dick around with for several games over a weekend.

Regardless, I would absolutely love seeing either one come back in the near future.
