ARAM Leaver Punishment Too Hard

Greetings!

I logged on to League, to play some Dominion and noticed my friend was online and in character select. He decided to dodge and was hit with a 10 minute penalty! If it was a Ranked or Draft 3v3 or 5v5, I'd understand. But this was for leaving an ARAM match. Can we think about lessening the punishment for this please? He had zero dodges today and he even said he hasn't dodged in over a year!
