Bringing Back Kassadin's Gameplay Identity (and how)

for context... also for context... The only unique part about Kassadin is his ultimate ability. His q is a point and click poke ball, his w is a generic auto attack enhance reset, and his e is just chogath's w but with a slow instead of a silence. Kassadin's ultimate ability is therefore essential to his identity as a champion, and to make the game fun and appealing to play, every champion should have a unique playstyle, which revolves around their abilities. This said, kassadin's ult should be as unique as possible from other champions. In patch 5.4 when riot decided to nerf Kassadin's ult range, it took away much of his identity as a champion. He went from being "the most mobile champion in the game" to "..." Yeah, there's not a lot to say about kassadin's identity now that his ult basically makes him a bruiser mage because of his inability to reach the backline without running through an entire team first. Riot basically said "Crap we don't want to deal with Kassadin let's just turn him into a bruiser/mage easy to ballance piece of shit". Not only this, but his updated model actually made him larger. The solution? Bring back his old ultimate range to bring back his gameplay uniqueness and identity. "But oh no that would be op asf..." And of course nerf him to compensate but at least bring back his uniqueness in some way. I played a lot of Kassadin until they nerfed his ultimate ability then I stopped, because in taking away Kassadin's range on his ult, Riot took away the appeal for anyone to main him. He's just a basic late game menace pocket pick that you whip out not because you enjoy playing the champion, but because he's the best pick to win the game so you suffer through playing him and constantly being out of ult range and getting kited. Not to mention his playmaking and outplay potential got absolutely destroyed. I don't believe this is what players want or what Riot wants for any of their champions, so may I respectfully suggest that Kassadin's ult range be changed? Comments plz
