Voice Chat in 2018 (about to be 2019).

League of Legends is a team based 5v5 game that is very reliant on teamwork and communication. When you are playing ranked, you should be able to talk to your team and make plays. In the highest levels of the game at LCS, they talk to each other with headsets. This game is so much better when you're not limited to just pings, because half of the time people ignore them anyways or they don't look at their mini map and aren't paying attention.

Communication is on another level that pings don't fulfill. Pinging while in the middle of a fight or skirmish most of the time is impossible and doing so will probably lead to your death. Voice comms in any situation is the best form of communication. Why would you allow your player base to not play at the highest level possible for the best competitive environment experience? Voice Communication is the highest level of communication. Unless were are all telepaths and our eyesight is all linked together like the 6 Pains from Naruto then there is no way in heck games could be played at the highest level. Its 2018 and low budget mobile games like PUBG and Fortnite Mobile have voice chat.

Imagine if pro teams in LCS were not allowed to speak and they could only ping and type in game. Do you see how much time is wasted because its a two step process to get your thoughts conveyed to other people where as communication through voice can be done simultaneously and with the best precision.
