I myself disagree with the newer smite changes, but this new way will definitely help. Riot are saying, "oh you hate our ideas. Hmmmm lets do research. Lets see how many champs are struggling." So They are trying, they were just failing.
There is nothing wrong with asking for help/insight.
However I am shocked they didn't already have this data. It seems REALLY odd that this is the first attempt at gathering this type of game data. I don't know if I should be happy they are now trying something new, or scared that something this simple (of an idea) took this long. This seems like something that should be 100% on every "pre-season" patch. When they are trying new things out. And something that should be on every PBE patch.
If the only difference is player-side information (where the players get to see it) then I am confused as to what role it should be playing.
They are asking for community feedback and you're complaining about it? I like the new jungle, no fail in my mind. It just makes lanes have to survive longer without ganks, which makes more focused players who don't depend on jungle to win their lane.
But didnt they have access to all this data already? The only new part is they are showing it to us. I fail to see how this changes anything about their approach so far.
I do find it funny that it took about 3 months of generally players avoiding the jungle role for Riot to finally realize that for the most part the players actually dont like their changes and it wasnt just a matter of getting used to it. 3 months. LoL
