Will Varus mid ever be brought back?

Varus mid with tear and lethality was a playstyle that I had a lot of fun with last season and earlier this season. However, the trifecta of nerfs in patch 7.5 (Vaus Q damage, lethality, and DFT) all made the playstyle very weak. I understand that it was oppressive at the time, but I feel that with some numbers changes it could be a balanced, healthy, and interactive playstyle, similar to that of Xerath. I also get that Varus is strong as a bot lane marksman, so buffing him would be a bad idea, but small buffs to lethality and DFT might put him in a spot where he isn't OP in either role, but the lethality tear build doesn't feel terrible to play. Thoughts?

I dont think he is a good botlane adc at all. Ashe and Jhin and Cait do the adc and utility job better. All varus is good for is poking people from offscreen with his q imo.
