How can i get even better at League?

Hello dear readers!

Currently i am Gold 2 and i am trying so hard to go plat.As you can see from the title i am not the best player or remotely close to that so i wanted to ask some questions.

The problem is this,i can't hard carry or even get close to carrying a game anymore. No matter how hard i try i can win my lane and roam and everything, keeping up with cs but it comes to a point where the enemy team will always come back with two or three members of their team being unkillable and having damage to delete my adc even melt my tanks.

In the past when this happened i would just train on normals and try to find some way to carry like improving my cs,roaming, being agressive to deny farm on my midlaner and i would just come up and hard carry the game.

But now it has reached a point where i can't do that since the enemy team will find a way to defeat us.I'm not talking about the games where my bot lane would lose their tower at min 5 or me getting rekt by Talons and Zeds mid lanes since it was my fault for not helping or i lacked knowledge about the game so i lost.

I'm talking about the games that i have a good cs,defeat my laner, roam, splitpush but i still end up losing.

So my question is this, how can i improve at this level of League.I enter normals but people don't tryhard there and i win them easily with no effort but in ranked it's a whole different story.I have played for awhile but i still can't carry no matter what i do so i need to get better.

Do you guys have any tips so i can improve my knowledge of the game so i will be able to at least win 3 out of 5 games.Because winning one and losing 2 it's not a great way to go.

youtube.com/lastshadow9 watch the verbal lessons and vids. Helped me learn what to do and how to improve.

I watch the dude every day and he has helped a lot on his Azoh training with Zed and Oriana,i even thought of getting coached by him but 80 Euros is too much for a student like me (Rent, bills etc.). I try to put in my games his lessons and sometimes they work sometimes they don't. I simply can't stop, let's a Skarner, from destroying my team...or a Darius...or a Garen...you get what i mean. No matter how much i gank my top laners and leave garen with 40 cs by 20 mins he will still farm up and just QER me...it's sad man. I am so salty >_<

Eventually you need to transition from trying to brute force solo carry (as often feels like a necessity in bronze, and probably silver and even gold), to trying to really figure out what your teammates are up to and play around that, or push them in the right direction. Simply winning with raw mechanics gets less feasible as you go up, so inching towards more strategic victories is the way to go.

Occasionally the teams ideas may not be the greatest exactly, but if the team feels compelled to teamfight with or without you, maybe stick with them rather than splitpushing even if splitpushing should be the 'right' choice given the team comp. If the team feels compelled to sit under turret waveclearing with no clear engage, then you can take the initiative to go splitpush. If you win a teamfight, spam some pings on the appropriate objective (usually an inhib or baron) and try to get everyone on board. If the team decides to ignore your pings, sigh and follow them rather than try to solo baron (and probably die in the process due to lack of team).

Normals are relatively easy yes, but there is still an mmr system there, so if you play them enough eventually they'll stop being easy. People are unlikely to ever be tryharding there really, but eventually you'll end up against diamond level players who will poop on you even when screwing around on their off-roles.

I appreciate your long, well thought reply and thanks for giving your time to me.

The problem is i can't rely on my team :/ i can't stop our Garen from going 1v5 while we just recalled and then say "Team?" I know,i just know i'm doing something wrong i just don't know what it is.

I think my problem is that i don't know how to use my kills to end the game fast cause i can't kill a Xin or a Malph or a Rammus or a Darius etc etc late game while they can one shot everyone in my team including me.

I see you know what i'm talking about since you said "Ping baron and if they don't come..." or "If they decide to teamfight just join them..." but when you can't win a teamfight you just can't it is pointless to join them.

I just need to know how to close the games fast and not let it go to late game. :/

The short answer is "play with a team"

The longer answer is that the only constant in your games is you and if you want to get better you have to have a method to get yourself better.

What worked for me (when i cared particularly much about ranking up) was.

  1. Watch every game, win or loss, find at least 10 mistakes that you made that DOES NOT include missing CS. Mechanical mistakes, warding mistakes, champion picking mistakes, missed opportunities are all fine(among others).
  2. Consciously think about not making those mistakes in your next game.
  3. Stop playing after a loss. Losing puts you on tilt and reinforces bad play. Go do something else. Like catch up on those replays you haven't found 10 mistakes in yes.
  4. Be positive with teammates and play out every game.
  5. Practice CS

That took me from Silver to Platinum and could get me back there if i cared enough to implement it.
