Punishments For False Reporting

I am pretty sure everyone that plays this game has run into this problem before. You tell your team to buy more wards or even play more objectively and automatically they all turn on you and report you if they are apart of a duo que or even a group of 3 or 4. Honestly this problem annoys me so much. I hate playing a 40 minute game that ended up poorly because we lost and even worse getting reported for nothing. I wish there was a new system for false reports. If someone reported you for verbal abuse when all you did was tell them to buy more wards I feel like there account should receive some type of punishment. I do not know what would be better temp banning, warnings, or chat bans. It does not seem like you guys (as in Riot) care to much about this topic. You went on that banning spree around 2 months ago getting rid of many toxic players why can't you do it again and this time for even people that report for false reasons. Something that I even thought about was a report option to report false reporters. I am trying to make as much sense as I can but I am not sure if i did as great job. Hopefully you guys understand and have some ideas of your own. Please comment anything you want and I will read every single on of them

People who make false reports often are punished normally by making all of their reports mean nothing. Continuing to make false reports, I do believe Riot will punish them with restrictions and bans, though you are never going to know if it happened. I've only received a notification of being reported once, so I don't know if I've only ever been reported once, or the other times I was reported by people who abuse the system and their reports are meaningless.

And also, I'm sure most of the time people threaten to report, they don't. The visibility of this given to players is basically zero, so there's no way to know without a Rioter post.

Oh, and you might just report them for verbal abuse or bad attitude and put in the description they were threatening to report. Threatening to report is against the code of conduct because it's a way of coercing others.

agree with all of this.

I would be all for punishing repetitive false reports (possibly by removing their ability to report, and heightening reports against them) but I'm fairly confident riot already discredits people who misuse the system pretty efficiently (it's a waste of their time to pursue false reports).
