what i mean is 1v1 mid lane. Like if zed and xerath came into mid lane for a 1v1, how much of a chance does zed have? I think xerath has the slight advantage here because he can harass the shit out of zed early and can push down turrets, while zed will take a while to get strong enough to beat xerath in lane but by then he is pushed up and xerath will have zhonyas. Unless i split push ofcourse, but thats a totally different story.
BluePolarizer3 votesNice theory, the reality is, Xerath is OOM fast, while Zed can go boots/4x pots and dodge every single one of Xerath's skillshots.
LoLKiru2 votesZed has a very good chance of beating just about anyone in a 1v1 (though there are exceptions, people Zed can't beat even IF he gets the jump on them; most notably 
; though thats a fringe case which relies on Zed not having Quicksilver Sash ).
Important to note in your example while Xerath has virtually unlimited mana (if he autos you constantly) you can poke him as well whenever he comes within range to auto you (you can also dodge all of his skills with good usage of your shadows).

Umbral Light1 votesZed is meant to be 1v1 mid, that's what he has been for for so long (though top is possible too but with it being filled with tanks now it's not really a good place togo often ass Zed). And besides, Xerath being a mage does run out of mana faster and Zed has energy, you know, the same complaints people have been making for a while now (this coming from a Zed user). Basically Zed can still beat Xerath IMO.
ItsJrodzYo1 votesIf you want to beat zed in lane, play talon. When zed uses his ultimate talon can just use his and dodge all of zeds damage. Talons ult is on a shorter CD than zeds. Play aggressive when your ult is back up. You have some time to kill zed before his ult is back up.
