Can't play mid any more?

So i am S5 i'm not as bad as you may think and was never a GOOD mid by any means, but i didn't feed and could still do stuff. But now i can't do mid at all, the meta has shifed over to mages and i CAN'T play a mages other than Syndra for shit. I can't farm or do any damage what so ever, and i'm all ways OOM and lose lane. I like assassins like: zed, talon, kat and ekko but idk if they are good RN and i will get out poked and lose. I don't know what do anymore with all the yasuos/twisted fates running around 1-4 shoting you and you can't do SHIT. If you know any ways to help or know a champ that i may like please let me know :)

I feel like the midland offers you a chance to be pretty versatile in terms what champion you want to play. You can go utility mage, something like Heim and offer turrets paired with Rylais for example for the slows in a team fight scenario while easily pushing back a lot of champions. You could also go burst Mage with something like LeBlanc. There's also the wonderful of world of assassins with AD (Zed, Talon) or go AP (Diana, Katarina). I would consider myself a mid main and typically try to counter pick my opponent. For example, versus Heim go Brand, for Zed you can go Heim & harass laning phase while rushing Zhonyas. If you struggle at CS Zed, Ziggs & Heimer are the first that come to mind when easy CSing is the topic. I would suggest basing your champion pool on champions that you're comfortable with in other lanes.

For a new or struggling mid laner I would suggest Lux. She has great range, her snare is great, AoE slow can be a real pain to deal with, shield provides good team oriented ability for later in the game and a global ultimate is a nice way to catch those fleeing enemies. Morgana can offer a similar kit with more wave clear with her AoE.

If you're a more experienced player looking champions that require more practice Zed is a great AD based assassin with good mobility and his Death Mark partnered with Ignite and BotRK can burst down just about anything outside of tanks and players prepared to combat you with Zhonya or something like Wukongs Decoy.

Something AP based that can also provide a challenge would be Brand who is one of my favorite champions in a great place right now. His combos take some practice but are very rewarding. Ahri's kit also has a lot to offer. Her poke is great, her charm is great for initiating in team fights. Her poke can absolutely punish the enemy for being poorly positioned and her ultimate offers great utility whether it be blown to escape or to secure the kill on fleeing opponents.

As I said earlier I would base your selection on what type of champions you play in the other lanes. Don't be afraid to jump into blind pick and experiment there are a lot of champions and I'm certain there are at least two or three mid laners you can pick up and be prepared for most match ups to a decent extent.

Play somebody you don't see a lot. Try whatever you like. Anivia Ahri Diana Ezreal Cassiopeia Fiddlesticks Janna Karma Karthus Maokai Here are some ideas i dont see a lot and all of them are a lot of fun. Granted i don't own a majority of them but i have seen and played (free champion rotation, One for all) them and there really good for mid lane. There are LOADS of champions that you can take i think theres like 127??? Theres bound to be one you love. Plus Syndra is great and if you go against yasuo then just be passive wait for him to be reckless and stab, or hit him with a ball.

why is tree in there? are you saying that i should be AP tree mid or....... I like AP ezreal but he needs items to do anything

Try anything. I don't think i have ever seen moa kai mid but you never know. Ezreal yeah he needs items but you make a dorans ring or dark seal in item 3041 and you have a pretty base ability power and go through the game building whatever you like really.

Malzahar Join the void army and claim the victory over mid lane ! Freelo, however you need to be well positionate and don't throw all your stuff early game, just farm, poke when someone try to cs, Dodge skillshot, farm with your e and AA to gain mana back, ult anyone trying to dive you + he melt tank mid/late game. Try not to shove the lane early game. You need a good threat frontlaner if possible so you can land your Space aids everywhere on the map and hear all the item 3070 falling on the ground as you get fed. ( Malza is a great duelist unless they have no choice to buy QSS to counter your ult. Just ult someone else, even the tank if needed.)

Seriously, if you ever played him, he is a really good champion :) Just dont get caugh and don't overextend Duh! because he has no escape !

Anyway, you asked and I propose the Prophet. If you dislike him, I understand totally ! ( Btw this not my main account )

I recomand Diana Ahri Malzahar Lulu ( Lulu is Almsot ungankable and she is a great addition to your carries and engager ) Yasuo Quinn ( HA , Do not underestimate her snowballing and roaming potential! )

I play Sion mid

Have not lost lane yet, but that is because i can build powerfull defensive item first and outsustain the enemy laner. Sion has good waveclear too and his roams are godlike, you can go anywhere on the map with your ult from midlane.
