I have a 70% winrate, really doesn't make sense to me
(edit) Basically win rates are 0 factor in how MMR builds a match(edit). Its off the current value on your account. Tiers move a lot slower then MMR value. So a higher value to your tier means your going to see players with lower value then their tier in games because once more its off the current MMR on the account not the dam tiers. I don't know why this is so commonly misunderstood by players besides boards constantly harping on about it.
MMR is not inherently magic. Its not expected to have 100% accuracy. Hell even when a MMR value IS 100% accurate you need to understand that two players with the exact same MMR (again with 100% accuracy for this example) can have a different best and worst case individual games even if they 1 trick and main the exact same champion. MMR when accurate is supposed to represent an averaged performance so this makes it a range not a singular value. When its correct its supposed to be the middle ground between your off games and your on point games, how consistent you are as a player makes a direct impact on this as well as how your teammates perceive you. To put this into some random flat numbers that convert to the same average, some players might be 0 or 100 others might be 25,75 and you have some who are very consistent and might be 45,55.. all will average out at 50 but if they are on your team there is a clear gap between their off or on games for what impact they bring. MMR treats all of them the same because there's no way to accurately predict an on or off game but you can constantly track their wins and losses.
win% with no context is weak. Tell me should we say im a fucking GOD on
because I have a 100% win rate and 8:1 KDA? Am I sleeper op challenger material TSM HIRE ME NOWZ for having this statistic? ** Hell no**, because I have literally 1 game on him this season so its not a remotely accurate measurement.
People go on about win rates. End of the day you have a MMR Balance. Its the same value for a new account, its built off your last season for a old account. Each win adds and Each loss removes from this balance. If your over all balance has moved in 1 direction constantly a "streak" of games lower then the entire direction you have been moveing is highly unlikely to make a impact. Balance out your over all W to loss and realize that a 3-5 game win/loss streaks are not significant if your sitting at 35 matches the opposite direction.
If you took the time to read all this thank you for your time. If I was unclear or you have questions bug me. I do make mistakes and I can be abrasive and unclear.
