New Item wards not worth it!

Recently as I've been playing support a lot I noticed that I hardly ever by the upgraded sight wards: , ,

Why is this? Because the utility I get from the other upgrade paths: , , are wayy to more beneficial in terms of their active abilities.

However if you were able to buy , , with the final build: , , function added in I would in buy them every single game even with the added cost! Therefor I would like riot to consider combining these two items + gold cost as a final build path for players. I believe you would see a great rise in use of these items as a result. they would have 2 actives, which will cause a problem.
they will be so slot efficient you will see them on almost every mid/jungler possibly top laners as well.
I agree that 1 over shadows the other, but combining them is not the solution.

So you want an item with 2 actives? One to get the utility, one to get the wards?

read the PBE notes, they are testing adding 10%CDR to item 2302 item 2301

Yes items could have two actives. Just hit Alt and the # to get the 2nd active would be all you would need to do. They already have that for certain abilities already like controlling Annie's Tibbers or Shaco's shadow clone by pressing alt.

i think EYE items should be improved, but i like having a choice between them and the others, both should be kept. perhaps making Eye's give a bit more gold or something.

the problem: placeing wards is an active, the actives are actives. How do you put two actives on one item?

I don't know why they ever even made it an option to combine when ruby sightstone and a support item (even though costs 2 slots) have way better synergy and are better in every way compared to combining them.

They could always rework sightstone to modify trinket charges and allow those item effects to be the actives

That would work.
