About Kalista's Soulbind

(Edit 1: I forgot that the mechanic is called "Oathsworn" now. My bad.)

I know there have already been several threads about this issue (and I'm not sure if one like this has been made before), but isn't Kalista's passive bugged? (I'm not 100% sure if this would belong in the "Report a Bug" section.)

Something I've recently noticed is that when Kalista begins her passive "ritual", the spear has a right-click option/icon (the same one used for capturing Dominion points). When her spear is right-clicked on (and this is available to all allies, including Kalista; not just the one Kalista uses her spear on), there are particles from her passive that appear around your champion, and (I think) her passive's SFX play again. Nothing happens, though—the "ritual" proceeds as normal. I assume this would have been used to accept the spear, as her preview page mentions?

Was this mechanic removed for some reason, or is it working as intended? Some input from a Rioter (preferably one that worked on coding Kalista into the game) would be nice to have.

Edit 2: Added images for reference. As one can see, a channeling/cast time bar for "Drain" (one of Fiddlesticks' spells) appears when you right-click the spear.
