League's Ranking MMR broken?

I'm a little puzzled. I've been trying grind out some ranked games and something has been really getting on my nerves.

I ended up going 4/6 on my provisional's and ended up in Silver III. A little heartbreaking but still i was down for the grind to climb.

But what really upsets me is that even though i'm in Silver, i'm being matched up against Platinum players?? My games have always consisted of one of these scenarios:

  1. One team consists of at least one Plat, 2 Golds on the opposite side, and the rest are filled with Silvers.
  2. One team consists of all Gold players, and the opposing side at least 2 Plat's.
  3. All teams consist of Plat players except for me, and another Silver on the opposing.

Now, I'm not upset that i'm stuck grinding in Silver due to a poor provisional's series, but what the F?? Riot, can you please explain to me why you're going to stick me in Silver but match me with Plat players?? It makes climbing the ladder really tough. Please fix this.

I'm having the same issue, I'm in Gold 1 and my MMR is Platinum 3 level, so even though I'm in gold I'm not playing against Gold players and it's making it hard to get out. This is even more frustrating because I was supposed to skip a rank (from gold 2 to plat 5) but because you HAVE to go through the 1 division to go to the next tier, I'm stuck in gold playing against opponents in mid plat, and occasionally diamond people will show up. It's obnoxious.

Matchmaking is beyond, I mean it literally busted because when they calculate final game score, they don't take any variables in consideration just the win and your mmr, which is ridiculous in a complex team game. In chess, it's fine, you have just 1 objective. Here, you have dozens and different for any role

Anyway, if you get 40 lp per win then it's normal in a way to get matchmaked with higher elo players. So the problem is not there, the problem is they threw you way too low and don't factor for that
